On June 30, 2026, with the aim of improving the resilience of rural communities to economic and environmental challenges, the RRMACS team conducted a field-based, peer-to-peer orientation and exposure visit for 15 members from Taldu village CIGs. The tour included a visit to the nurseries in Al-Mukhtariyah village, focusing on documenting and exchanging skills and lessons learned from successful local initiatives and stories, such as the greenhouse projects model, in an effort to:

Participation of small-holder farmers in Common Interest Groups (CIGs)/cooperative models is enhanced.

Strategic agricultural, horticultural, and livestock value chains strengthened.

Access to agricultural business services and financing increased.

This activity is part of Road to Resilience Making Rural Agricultural Communities in Syria More Viable (RRMACS), which aims to improve the resilience of rural communities with a focus on women and youth, allowing them to cope with economic uncertainty and environmental shocks. This activity is funded by KFW and implemented by AKF.
