I included this photo not because it is such a great photo. It's actually a pretty bad one. Look at the edges; unsharp. While in the middle it is sharp. There is a story behind this.
Before I left for New York a new Tamron lens had come out, on which I had set my eye. But in The Netherlands the lens was not available yet. So, my idea was to purchase it in New York at the famous B&H Photo New York Store. But unfortunately the lens had already sold out. I looked around for other photo stores. And I guess because the disappointment of not been able to buy the wanted lens at B&H I had my guard down. And in this sleezy store I let myself talk into buying a wide angle lens, of poor poor build quality. I took some photos, and reviewing them on my camera screen they seemed to turn out good. If only I had the ability to see them on a larger screen. I would have thrown it away immediately, take my loss and never to use it anymore. Instead, I walked around and took many (!) photos with it.
Back home again I got to take a proper look at the photos I had taken. I was shocked. Shocked, angry and sad. So many photos were ruined. Almost all photos of the Flat Iron building, at Top of the Rock on Rockefeller Center, the Empire State building, in Central Park, in Harlem.
Lesson learned!

My mitts! Almost done with the first one. It's going to be too long. The arm part is a good length, I like it, the hand part is too long for my itty bitty girly hands. Dunno how I'm going to fix that on future pairs. Also, these are a tad bit snug - I have definitely learned a knitting lesson with these. I do NOT need to knit so tight. Although, I kind of like them being super snug. They're just a tad bit hard to get on and off. Blocking might ease them out a bit though.
Also - you can totally play "Spot the Mistake!" down near the arm cuff - I was so excited to be doing color work I didn't bother to go back and fix some of the boo-boos. That is what will make this pair more special in the end though :)

Still can't beat Rafayel myth.. it's very dramatic and barbar. 2nd still Zayne myth, beside his backstory and backshot.. ahem.. he's a brat tamer and Zaddy for some reasons. Good luck to someone who will cosplay as him in god of annihilation form (the outfits literally flex too much skin: combo thigh high slits, backless, front.. less..).
Somethin... that left a deep impression for me.. still Raf mermaid myth, because he was locked and trapped under the sea for centuries after losing his bride again and again. Then MC summoned him, but he was so furious when he saw how some greedy humans (politicians) had been abusing her badly. He was thinking about sinking the whole city or civilization, but MC stopped him. In the end.. wife dies cuz she dont wanna see him trapped again under the sea. Stabbed her chest with Raf magical dagger. Raf was cryin pearls, hair turns purple because he's sad.
2nd, zayne myth.. His MC in his myth was a smartass brat goddess.. she loved when people worshipped her, tho the real god who gave her knowledge, power and wisdom was Zayne. In the human world, Zayne acts as a high priest and also her fiancee (That's why when wandering in the city, he always wore his blindfold. He said: I want these eyes to see only the one i love)
He was preparing his wedding with MC but ended up losing her again. Wife turned into an ice statueee..
Good point.. As usual, in this present timeline or myth, he will always simping his MC boldly.
