I gave these away to everyone that attended my presenation last Friday evening at WWB CT.
• Gewehr98 w/Bayonet (proto)
• M24 Anti Tank (AT) "Geballte Ladung" Grenade (proto)
• C96 Pistol
• Gunmetal Stahlhelm
• German Rifleman Vest
I'm pretty much happy with this now, and will probably take some final photos of it soon. I've covered most of the visible studs, and the ones that are left should probably just remain as they are.
I was injecting parts in the shop today, and I noticed how the tan ABS pellets look like clumps of desert-planet sand.
The little guys are holding the BrickArms CA-87 from my new BrickArms Blaster Pack.
After I took this shot, the figures disappeared. Did they burrow beneath the surface? When I turn off the lights, I swear I see two pairs of tiny orbs glowing somewhere deep in the pile.
Custom Lego MOC of the Week! Lagertha and her son, Bjorn Ironside @myrdred_the_builder.
Amazing job by @myrdred_the_builder for bringing our custom lego accessories to whole new level with his painting skills! Job well done @myrdred_the_builder
5.5x scale RPG-7 w/removable warhead, M1911, and Commando Vest were 3D printed in ABS on my Ultimaker 2 and Taz 5 3D printers. They were then acetone vapor smoothed for that gloss.
BiG Mad Cop is the LEGO minifig clock
Tiny Mad Cop is the LEGO collectible minifig.
I hadn't noticed until now, that the collectible minifig's mouth is printed closed, while the clock-scale minifig's mouth has bared teeth. Details, LEGO, DETAILS! ;)
This item is 100% overmolded from injected ABS plastic. There is no paint and no glue.
I'll have these at World War Brick. After that..who knows?
Clock-scale Boba, with 3D printed 5.5:1 EE-3.
Minifig-scale Boba with injection molded 1:1 EE-3
Behind their helmets, both of them are smiling.
See it at World War Brick this weekend.
It disassembles completely: Tripod legs, tripod base, pintle (pivot), gun body, barrel, ammo tab, ammo links U-clips.
This render is the "Night Raid Assault" all-black version. Gunmetal and Olive Green assemblies will be available, too, if I can get them injected in time. Each is hand-injected, and all are in very limited supply at WWB.
A look at the gunmetal version.
Although the photo show the rear leg off of the ground, the gun DOES pose flat. I just rushed the shot, and didn't adjust the pintle (pivot) that is all.
Need to endanger alien species? Lock and load the BrickArms XM345 Overkill! With a lightning-quick rate of fire and beta mag to store plenty of ammo, the XM345 Overkill lives up to its name when your figs use it to mow down waves of enemy troopers!
Beta mag is detachable, and the the pistol is a new Hand Cannon. I'm still working on it.
Minifig is David Hall's excellent design.
Beretta M9 in 1/1 scale.
It really suprises me how good a brick built gun feels. Thanks again, sloped curves ( :
The latest in the overmolded BrickArms Reloaded Series.
Black ABS overmolded onto gunmetal ABS. No paint and no glue.
I'll have these at World War Brick, and at Brickfair.
Just made a little over fifty of these epic sub machine guns! P.S. I spy the short shot that should be thrown out?
Still a WORK IN PROGRESS, and one of my more ambitious overmolds to date.
The rocket has a 1/16 steel pin for a rocket shaft, and inserts into the RPG7 tube.
The exhaust end of the venturi (cone) is cored to accept any Lego bar.
This is entirely injected - there is no paint used anywhere.
Minifig by David Hall, of Minifigs4U
Weapons by me.
This guy has been sitting on my minifig shelf since BrickFair 2013, and daring me to arm him. So I did.
The guns are currently only prototypes, and are undergoing design changes daily, but I like where they are headed..
Just to be clear: I am not looking for any design help or suggestions with these, and any comments of that nature will be deleted.
The reloaded mold cut very nicely, with only a little bit of tuning needed after injecting. I'll have these at WWB this weekend, and I'll be giving a presentation this Friday night showing how these are made - from CAD design, to mold design, to final overmolded injection.
Custom Lego Minifigure of the Week! Saurus Temple Guard by @myrdred_the_builder
The Saurus Temple Guard Custom Lego Minifigure looks absolutely amazing! So cool! @myrdred_the_builder did an amazing job painting BrickWarriors Custom Lego Accessories to make this amazing custom lego minifig!!
I'll only have a limited number of these at World War Brick. I may also have them at Brickfair, but no promises on that,
He has laser-cut hat flaps with rings that fit onto the head stud and under the hat (thanks for the help designing those, Dave (Cape Madness))!
The Type 100 SMG is overmolded in gunmetal and brown ABS (no paint and no glue).
One of my most difficult overmolds to date. This one took 3 mold sets to get right.
Tubes are 1/8" aluminum, overmolded with black ABS. The shoulder launcher frame is pinned to the tubes through the cylindrical blocks surrounding the tubes. The tubes are not removable for reloading.
Monopod is positionable, and removable.
The tube sets can be injected with just the end caps, and the orifices, giving you the look of a handheld reload.
So, these are done. I just want to change the cylinder in the Silver gun to a smooth one, but I'll probably take final photos before that. Question - Does the wooden background work?
Just a quick build to show the tripod and M1917 body versatiilty.
The short legs are from another tripod variant.
Not yet, at least.
These two rarities can be acquired at the World War Brick charity auction, to benefit Wounded Warriors Project.
I'm nearly finished the revolver from Trigun - Here the break action can be seen, exposing the cylinder
I tried a black wash, and some not-so-dry-brushed silver on the XSR (Xperimental Sniper Rifle). I think I went a bit overboard!
What do you guys think? Any tips for me?
(Armor is by Brick Affliction, painted by me. I added a black wash to it as well)
I was injecting a big batch of XSRs for an upcoming weapons pack, and got these two oddballs when I didn't wait until the plastic was hot enough and rushed the injection.
Not much of a sniper rifle now, is it? What would YOU call this?
(Armor by Brick Affliction, and poorly painted by me. And yes, he went out this morning and forgot to put on his nonexistent leg armor))
He'll be coming with me to World War Brick (maybe BF too), as I promised.
We'll see what happens after that.
And, yes he comes with the overmolded M1A1 SMG.that you see in the photo.
Probably the least effective loadout possible in-game.
I feel I should add that I don't condone actual gun violence. Actual violence in general is pretty bad.
I appreciate videogames as a form of storytelling, and enjoy the shooting in Halo, but more as a form of decidedly virtual catharsis.
Yeah
There's conflicting reports about the in-universe length of the Halo 3 Battle Rifle, and I don't quite know why. Thus, I went by eye, making it proportionally longer than my MA5C, which is an accurate length to the consistent in-game length of that gun. The result of all of that is a slightly longer stock, with a better shape overall
This is an updated version of my BR55HB, or Halo 3 Battle Rifle, Lego build. The old version was flimsy, inaccurate, and too short, and while the overall build hasn't changed much, the critical things that have are greater structural rigidity, more polish, and a cleaner overall appearance, as well as the correct number of triangles on the side.
The model features a spring-loaded trigger, spring loaded bolt, and removable magzine
Still a Work in Progress, but I'm leaning towards cutting a mold of the reloaded version - maybe even in time for World War Brick next weekend. The Reloaded version solves the mounting ear fragility issue of the production PPSh drum, by using my new "Cut-C" design of the ACS and Tommy Guns.
Today the real battle begins!

BrickArms prototype Japanese Arisaka w/overmolded bayonet.
Brickmania will have these on display at BFNE this weekend!
The soldier's custom laser-cut hat flaps have rings that attach to the stud on the minifig head.
I always wondered who he was before the war.
He holds an overmolded BrickArms M1911 with the safety switch molded into the trigger guard. This figure will be the only way to get this specific variant of the overmolded M1911. All later versions omit the safety.
I'll have him at WWB, and maybe BrickFair VA.
