... "Oh it's so funny!"

Out again this morning making the most of the good weather. I heard these two well before I spotted them. But, they looked so funny yelling their heads off on the top of a house.

13th August 2020:

While Graham was out the other day he found some windfalls by an apple tree and brought them home. They almost went off straight away, but I left one to go mouldy so I could get a photo of it.

Came in handy, as although I'm not feeling quite so awful, I still don't feel strong enough to go out for a walk. Plus it's so muggy here I'd probably have melted!

Especially for my brother-in-law.

And for the Silly News it's : National Filet Mignon Day - nationaldaycalendar.com/national-filet-mignon-day-august-13/

Nothing silly about that it's delicious - if you can afford it. 😉

Sea-Fever, by John Masefield

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;

And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

This photo might seem off to you. I am left handed so I placed the handle to the left side and oriented the photo for my eye. Let me know if it "feels funny" to you. Polka dot is "mia" in the lower right side.

Rights?

Of course there are rights. But there are who born to be left-handed.

I've always been fascinated by roads. They take me exploring over the next horizon. They take me towards my destination. As a child I always made them in sandpits, across the flower bed and over the lawn, over table tops and on top of the carpet; even amongst the bed sheets. My mother says I should have been a brain surgeon. My heart wanted me as a jet fighter pilot. But if I had been a road planner I would have sorted out Britain's traffic nightmare. it would have been a mighty challenge. Which might have sent me round the bend.

#1

people always say that southern california is full of right point breaks....

and good lefts are few and far between....

well it seems like i've been coming cross a LOT of good empty

lefthanders lately....

The life has two sides! Destiny chose to me the left... (August 13th, International Day of Left-Handed).

The exhilaration of coming down the front stretch at Carolina Motorsports Park, knowing the brakes will be taxed for the lefthander that is coming up rapidly. My friend, crew member and team photographer, has given me permission to use his photos, since it is hard to take outside selfies while trying to concentrate on driving. If you wish to use them for any reason, you need his permission as they are copyrighted to Darrell Bryant Photography. Racing this weekend, will catch up when I return.
