Thought it would be fun to put a 'tax button" on my simple calculator. Boy that would be nice if all you had to do was click on the tax button and your taxes would be done.

The modern concept of small office/home office, or SoHo, refers to the category of business, which involves from 1 to 10 workers. SOHO can also stand for small or home office or single office/home office. A larger business enterprise, one notch up the size scale, is often categorized as a small business. When a company reaches 100 or more employees, it is often referred to as a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME). (Source Wikipedia)
I took this picture rather quickly at NAB and forgot to look which L series lens it was from Canon.
Any guesses which one it is?
I find it fascinating to look in to a lens like this.
How to they saw this in half?

This was a much harder shot to take then I thought.
It took many attempts to get the lighting just right on this shoot. I learned a ton about lighting today doing this lesson. Reflective translucent objects like this are hard to do.
I started with lighting from the back - that was a mistake.
Then I tried from the side - another mistake.
I tried lighting it from above - wrong.
Finally I bounced it off a white background and carefully got the camera lined up with the reflection off the white background perfectly while flagging both sides of it with black. Another added touch was placing it on a black surface.
I will make a video on this soon on how I got this shoot.

Here is one of the many calculators we have floating around the house.
After 5 years and over 400 videos, I have a new website name to reflect the gear I'm using! www.learningvideo.com/url-website-change/
Decided after my last video about the a7rii and a7sii to sell my Sony a7sii. I am going to get the a6300 next for my B camera.
I normally like having a crop camera for video (a7rii) and a FF camera which the a6300 is not, but by the time I am done creating a course for the a6300 I have a feeling (no inside knowledge) that something else might come out that will fit that slot for me. (just a guess, might be wrong)
Here is the listing on eBay for it. If you are serious about buying it, please contact me directly with my email dave@learningvideo.com. All the info about the camera is listed on ebay.
