Sharks can grow thousands or even tens of thousands of teeth over a lifetime. Because of their chemical composition, these teeth are easily fossilized. The Sharks teeth that you will find at Trailmix.Net were discovered in Morocco and come from the genus Squalicorax which lived in the Cretaceous period (65 to 145 million years ago).
Trilobites are extinct arthropods that lived 500 million to 250 million years ago and have been called the signature creatures of the Paleozoic era.
With skeletons composed of cartilage rather than bone, a torpedo like body, and razor sharp replaceable teeth, sharks have hunted the oceans of the world since the Ordovician period (450-420 million years ago).
Found yesterday and just had to have it. I remember these toys played 8 track tapes that had programs, games and music on them. The front sticker for the control buttons was missing but other than that it's in fine shape. (Two dollars and eighty cents.)
Picked up a couple 8 track tapes at .50 cents each to play in it for now..

Orthoceras are distant relatives to nautilus and squid and are identified by their long, straight shells. The fossilized remains of Orthoceras are fairly common, distributed worldwide, and frequently found in marine limestone.
The word “Trilobite” means “three-lobed” and describes the left pleural lobe, axial lobe, and right pleural lobe that compose Trilobite morphology. Trilobites are highly diverse (1500+ genera and 17000+ species) and dispersed geographically. Some were predators and/or scavengers, others fed on plankton. Their size ranges from 1/25th of an inch to 28 inches.

Handmade, needlefelted wool llama with silly teeth. He began as a horse but the proportions looked off, so I went with it and here we have a llama. He is about 8 inches tall and I made him on a wire frame so he can bend and sit. Sam loves him. I'm hoping to create a whole collection of farm animals. Anyone good at building miniature barns??? They'll need a home!

This a set of magnetic fabric fish complete with two little pole that I made for my sister in law to gift a lillte boy.
I made my own template for the fish and used scrap fleece as the batting. They have raw edges so they were a snap to sew up.
Ten fish in all. Perfect, I thought for teaching colors and numbers to little ones.
