Our water bill came in the post today. Also in the envelope was the leaflet shown here which, as you can see, proclaims "£2 a month over a year is as little as it could cost to help give a family safe, clean water for life."
£2 a month over a year - that's £24 in total by my reckoning - for a whole family, for life, eh? So how come the water company charge us £248.75 a year for our three bedroom semi??
