LDN_91 [20 points]
A small colorful 20 points worth space invader in the SoHo district of London. Part of the 6th invasion wave in 2006, which included 16 mosaics. LDN_91 is located under the famous SoHo Mural. This fresque is made in the year 1989 by Louise Vines. Inspired by the eponymous poem of 1819 by Percy Bysshe Shelley, who lived around the corner in 15 Poland Street; the mutilated tree is also a reference to the Great Storm of 1987. Originally proposed in 1986 by the Soho Jazz Festival, which then abandoned the commission; it was subsequently taken up by the Soho Society. [ Wikipedia ].

In the depths of Ophiuchus, the dark nebulae B262, LDN 85, LDN 107, LDN 91 and LDN 81 seem to come together to trace a surprisingly familiar anatomy: the silhouette of a uterus, its fallopian tubes, and ovaries.
A coincidence of forms on a cosmic scale transforms clouds of interstellar dust into something that evokes the very reproductive tree of life.
The image takes on a special meaning in September, an international month of awareness for gynecologic cancers and, in Brazil, a period marked by the Setembro em Flor campaign.
What at first appears to be an unusual arrangement of stars and dust can therefore also become a tribute to women’s health and to the importance of prevention, awareness, and early diagnosis of gynecologic cancers.
Among nebulae where new stars may arise, the Universe seems to sketch one of the most universal symbols of the origin of life.
A womb among the stars.
A cosmic tree of life.
And, this September, also a symbol of awareness and care.
