Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is flat lay.
And since it has been a very, very long time since we had an egg or lemon picture, so why not… I truly had a hard time to decide on an egg or a lemon, so I just combined the two in one concept. So here we go, an egg flower with a lemon center. I hope it will make you smile !

We came upon a large Lion pride with many young cubs early in the morning. As their parents lay asleep these youngsters were playing around just like any kittens would. It was one of the best sightings we had on our Masai Mara trip.

Spider
I spotted this spider waiting in its web for a meal to arrive. While watching, a wasp flew into the nest but was able to escape before the spider could get to it.
A female Katydid laying/cleaning her eggs on my lemon bush. The bright green Katydid is a species of bush cricket found in New Zealand. Adult Katydid mate in autumn then the female lays her eggs. The eggs survive the cold of winter to hatch in the warmer spring months.

As we sit in the clear on the controlled siding in Burlington, a CSX Barr Yard bound freight passes us by. Once the southbound clears, we will get a little mainline time to switch siding 74 (on far left of frame) to retrieve some freight for spotting, before having to clear again for more traffic.

Does not flare much and when it does it does it gracefully.
216 224-6 von T4R fährt mit ihrem Messzug an den Resten der Blockstelle Thondorf vorbei. Diese schon Anfang der 1990er Jahre aufgelassene Blockstelle liegt gut 2 Kilometer vom Ort Thondorf entfernt mitten im Nirgendwo.
T4R's 216 224-6 with a measuring train next to the old block post of Thondorf. This block post lays dormant for more than 30 years and so not much is left but the hull of the building.

Not attracted by many flowers in its surrounding, this butterfly actively moving from one leaf to another. After a closer look at its belly movement, I just realized it's laying the eggs onto leaves.
As I crawl through the sand and lay on my stomach to capture this shot and others. Mersea Island is having a surge tide. If your not aware there is one road on and off. If the strood ( the rd on and off ) gets covered by sea you can have a two hour wait to get back across. After I finished photographing everything that moved, I realised that high tide was at 1.30pm and it was 12.45pm. I was stuck on mersea til the tide had subsided 3pm. Think I got some ok shots though!
