I got a bit lucky lastweek as I thought I'd go to the Blavatnik website to see if they do any open days and it turns out they had one today between 10am and 1pm!
It's an impressive building, full of spirals, curves and a spiral staircase. The skylight can make it difficult to get a decent exposure when it's in the frame due to the big difference in light levels.
Ouzo does this adorable thing where he's having entire dialogs with us by squeaking a toy. You ask him something, and he stands there wagging his tail and gives a hard squeak. You tell him to shut up. Squeak! Ouzo, shut up : SQUEAK! SQUEAK!
Sometimes he does it in the morning, as I am getting dressed and Chris is still asleep. With a certain green Cuz. Or when we're trying to watch something on TV.
He makes me laugh every day :)

Well. This concept changed about three times between the shoot and the final result....this was not at all what I'd initially set out to do, but that's okay.
Sometimes art just changed directions.
I'm sorta irritated by certain things, but that's nothing new. :)
Meh.
Oh. And my numbers are screwed up if you haven't noticed.
Tuesday will be 365. Wednesday 366. Which is good. Cos legally, I missed one when I was post-surgery last November.

I was at RAF Mildenhall lastweek and the bird scarer uses a gun to clear the airfield of birds in a friendly way so they don't interfere with the jet engines. Another tactic they use is to train a bird of prey to clear the airfield. This is Ailsar and she is being trained up to work with the Bird Scarer. These Harris Hawks have beautiful markings and this one is so friendly was a privilege to be so close and stroke the bird.

Lastweek the weather is good, so I went to the wakasu kaihin park to see Tokyo Gate Bridge and Mt. Fuji with a sunset.

Having read that 58022 had arrived at Wirksworth yard (Ecclesbourne Valley Railway) on 18th August 2020, to be used as a chassis by the Ivatt Diesel Recreation Society to recreate L.M.S. diesel 10000, I had a look to see what shots of the 'bone' I had in the collection. It is seen here at the former Bevercotes colliery on 22nd September 1997, departing with stockpile clearance coal to Cottam power station, in what was believed to be the last week of operation of this branch.
and it is late...and I was at the Island Lighthouse today...in the rain...and a fox stared at me for a minute, and I stared back...and I have no photo because my battery ran out two minutes before...and it's my own fault !!! And the fox was very close, too....

weather's perfect here in bacolod. =) really cold (as colod as it gets here in bacolod anyway) but no rain -just the way i like it. the only bad thing is = no beautiful morning / afternoon light, no spectacular sunsets. heheh. anyway. just enjoying it while it lasts.
