This is the last northern lights photo from me for the season. With the sun setting after 9:30 it is getting too light at night to capture the northern lights.
We were packing up from taking some shots of the sunset and had a last bit of color before the sky turned dark.
...the snow finally made its first visit of the season, leaving a few inches behind as it continued its trek to the east. Won't last long, however, as the forecast yet again calls for an unseasonably warm weekend.
This was the last rose that I photographed in 2022. It was looking quite faded, so originally I was going to convert the whole image into B&W. Somehow that really bothered me so I only converted the outside of the bloom for Sliders Sunday. HSS!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment! Have a wonderful day!
She was beautifully dressed in light blue, and he just fallowed her moves, hoping that this dance would last little bit longer. He just loved her and also loved Summer...b.mikic
Gingko leaves taken during last Autumn at Fitzroy Gardens.
These Gingko leaves are hanging down almost at the same height of my line of sight, making it easier to compose and frame.

I sent my camera in to be repaired; Last Sunday, I noticed a bokeh-like semi-circle on the right side of every photo. The shutter blade is definitely damaged. I have no idea how long it will take to get it back. I discovered that Nikon issued a recall; it's a known issue.
The last few items of luggage are loaded as the passengers settle down for the long journey through the night.
One more sunset shot from late last summer. Wishing you all a beautiful Christmas - winter holiday season.

For those of you who thought I was kidding, it was true when I mentioned in a couple posts back that Clear Lake had been short of epic sunrise this year! The sky had been either 100% clear or 100% covered by thick clouds, and on occasions when there were a few low clouds, it lacked light and colors.
Few mornings ago I woke up to a cloudless sky, and then the fog started to roll in, making the sun very stand out and interesting. I hurried out and as I was doing my speediest to obtain focus (auto-focus wouldn't work here - no definitive shape), it's like the fog had read my mind. It suddenly sped up and covered everything up! Well, I caught the last second of it - the poor bright sun was completely swallowed immediately after this photo was taken and not to be seen again for hours.
Thank you for having a look at my photo, as always, I appreciate your visit, fave and kind comments!

"Now you see me standin' in the lights
But you never saw my sacrifice
Or all the nights I had to struggle to survive
Had to lose it all to win the fight
I had to fall so many times (oh-oh-oh)
Now I'm the last one standin'...
Promise....I've posted my last leaf. Moving onto winter now...just waiting for the snow to arrive! :-)

I was not expecting to see last night’s sunset but a meeting I went to came to an end quite early. I had no camera with me so had to rely on the phone so the quality is not that good. I love looking at the Humber Bridge but with the bonus of a good sky it becomes Hulls best spectacle

AKA "When good sunsets meet New Rules". Last night I saw the sky turning pretty colors so on the spur of the moment I thought I would head down to the lake that is a few minutes drive from my house, since it is a lovely place to watch sunsets. It is part of a city park that in the past has closed "at sunset". Which has usually meant a little past that since it is a popular place to watch them.
However, when I arrived at the lake, I saw new signs had been installed saying that the gates were now locked at 6:30pm, and the parks department staff were herding everyone to the parking lot. So I had to turn around and head back home. By the time I got home, the brightest colors of the sunset were already fading, although there were still some interesting purplish tones in the sky. I ended up taking a few shots from the top of the hill in my neighborhood.

**May each of us age with grace and beauty like these beautiful sugar maple leaves. True beauty is on the inside… Wishing you much love and light. ✨
Thought I had better prove I do actually use my camera in England. Went to Bempton Cliffs in East Yorkshire last night primarily to watch seabirds. We saw thousands but we were also treated to a spectacular sunset over the North Sea.
All in all a great night out we ate wonderful Fish and Chips in Bridlington to start the evening and had a pint in Beverley to finish it. Bliss
