Dr. Darm has practiced aesthetic medicine for the past 15 years, performing over 50,000 laser procedures. Previously, Dr. Darm was a board certified Emergency Medicine physician (ER doctor) with over 20 years experience. He graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. His medical training was obtained at OHSU.
Dr. Darm opened his private practice, Aesthetic Medicine, in 1995. Initially specializing in weight loss, he expanded to include hair removal and rosacea treatments in 1997. My friends know that I am undergoing laser surgery for removal and replacement of the lenses in my eyes, one at a time. Last week Dr. Neil Martin, the inventor of the foldable replacement lens that allows the patient to see both near and far with near-perfect clarity, completed the procedure on my left eye. The major difference between the two eyes is that the color temperature of the acrylic lens is about 1500K warmer than the old, decaying natural lens, as you see here in this photo. The left is blue, the right is yellow in hue. Next week, the two eyes will match.

- Drink plenty of water

- Practice the Kegel or pelvic floor exercises to increase circulation around the rectum and increase the strength of the muscles in the vagina and perineum
- Rest your feet on a stool often. Could also repeat the same when in the toilet since this position helps to open the bowels more easily
- Do not withhold going to the toilet for longer periods
- Consult a piles doctor to prescribe a mild laxative
