Because I HEART the What's in your bag? Flickr group. I'm finally posting to it. :D
Surprisingly, my back doesn't hurt unless I'm walking around for a long time. "Long" being about three hours. Which I do occasionally.
Dear Madison, Wisconsin group people. You should do this too. It is fun!
Good Christ I have a ton of stuff....
Tonight Mari made me a padded sleeve for my macbook. I picked out the fabric patterns, and helped her out a little.

Here it is, with the zipper and all! I could have done a better job putting the zipper in, but I can totally live with this. Easy project, and functional too! The felting is thick and gives my Macbook nice soft padding.
Haven't you got a knitted laptop sleeve from Martice yet?

Lap Top Sleeve Pattern tested for April Forshee of Forshee Designs www.forsheedesigns.com/
See the complete description in April's etsy shop by going to the above link.
Fabrics and fusible fleece provided by April for this project. I believe they are from the Pillow & Maxfield Whimsy line.
April's Lap Top Sleeve Pattern is designed so that you can create a custom lap top sleeve that will snugly fit your own lap top. Plug your lap top's measurements into her simple formula & you are on your way. She minimizes cutting time by instructions to stack the fabrics and cut most of the pieces at once. Clever use of french side seams makes a neat & easy to complete project. The sleeve is padded with fusible fleece to give it a nice weight & structure. The added front pocket is a welcome feature - even my husband commented on that :)
My only caveat is that your machine needs to be able to handle a fair amount of bulk, especially when sewing the final side seams. Using a 90/14 sharp machine needle and keeping your presser foot level your presser foot should help.
I would definitely make this again. Way to go on your very first published pattern April!

I ordered the most fantastic handmade laptop sleeve from Etsy, but I had no idea it was coming all the way from Lithuania! I love the tapestry and button closure, and it fits my 13" MBP fairly well (although I think it could be a bit more snug).

Lots of minihexagons on dark gray, padded, closed with velcro. And little new technical wonder is ready to go on tour with me!
I was very lucky to be a pattern tester for Erin's DogUnderMyDesk.com upcoming new gadget sleeve, the Gadget Guard. This is my test results, and I can't rave enough over what a great and versatile pattern this is! You can size it for ANY device that is about 1" thick or less. This is for a 13" laptop. But I am going to make one for my iPod, iPad and Kindle! I also know of several people who will get these for birthday gifts! These are great for guy gifts, too. Great pattern!
