One of 550 Macbook Pros I laser engraved for the University of Oregon Center for Student Athletes. The case was custom made in Portland Oregon.
I did not fully-anticipate the placement of the button, but I love how it looks like a flower at the end of the tree!
I went to three different stores before I found the lining fabric for this case. It was one of those "pick me!" moments where I knew as soon as I saw it that it would be perfect!

I used my scraps from the Jane Market Bag to make this matching laptop case! Per Jeni's recommendation, I used the free Oh Fransson tutorial from Sew Mama Sew.
Another thanks to my little daughter, who is very organised and insisted on starting packing 2 days before departure. Thursday's evening was really easy - last few steps to finish packing, last few ticks on the list and by 10pm I was..... I was ready!!! I could not believe I was able to have 5 hours sleep that night - we had to wake up around 4am for the flight. Brilliant start of the holidays :)

We took Sean's hybrid cat and put it in his incase laptop case. Rory (the cat) gave me the death stare so we let it out, however it makes for a very funny and slightly cute shot!

CHERCHBI Herdwyck Correspondent Satchel
This take on a traditional satchel is a fine update on the original; good for work or everyday use. The size and shape easily accommodate a laptop and other items. The contoured flap has two adjustable straps secured with brass clog-ball fasteners which can be opened and secured one-handed. Shaped leather panels protect the lower corners of the bag. It lacks a security slot[6] and an Ethernet port[7], although a USB-to-Ethernet adapter may be purchased separately[8]. Some have complained about the omission of these features[attribution needed]. In addition, the MacBook Air offers only a single USB port. The MacBook Air lacks Cardbus and ExpressCard slots, both standard features in older and newer laptops, respectively [9].
The MacBook Air is Apple's first laptop computer to be offered with an optional solid-state hard drive[10]. ArsTechnica found "moderate" performance improvements of the 64GB solid-state drive over the standard 80GB hard drive in tests [11].
The CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo chip, which was specially redesigned for the MacBook Air, reducing the physical chip packaging's size by 60 percent [12]. While the processor is unique, it has been criticized for being under-powered and last generation technology.[13][14]
The laptop has the magnetic latch system of the MacBook and an aluminum casing like the MacBook Pro. The oversized trackpad offers iPhone-like Multi-Touch gestures, an improvement over previous MacBook trackpads. Among the gestures are pinching, swiping, and rotating [15]
The MacBook Air is pre-loaded with Mac OS X v10.5 and iLife '08.
