An English country lane on a cold winter morning.

Early winter on a late pewter light afternoon...the aged maples are spreading their skeletal branches once again. I have revisited this farm lane many times this past year only to discover new nuances of beauty and a lasting serenity like none other. The terrain is high here and the wind sweeps across the farmland with a pulsating rhythm and audible breathe. Birds scurry and abandon themselves to flight while the crisp air clings to the lungs and sheds aromas of seasonal earthiness. Ashfield, MA

It looks quite a country scene, but it's in the middle of suburbia, running behind the backs of houses.

• TRINIDAD is located on the Caribbean coast, Province of Sancti Spíritus, south-central Cuba. Founded in 1514, this Colonial Town is a Unesco World Heritage site since 1988. * ARCHITECTURE OF TRINIDAD: The architectural style of Trinidad is Neo Classical and baroque with a Moorish touch. Many of the wooden bars ornaments of the 18th century windows were replaced with decorative metal railings in the 19th century.

• TRINIDAD est situé sur la côte des Caraïbes, dans la province de Sancti Spíritus, centre-sud de Cuba. Fondée en 1514, cette ville coloniale est un site du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco depuis 1988. * ARCHITECTURE DE TRINIDAD: L'architecture de Trinidad est de style Néoclassique et baroque avec une touche mauresque. On the road to Gargrave , Yorkshire

Free roaming sheep keep the grass in the hamlet of Spaunton cut short but they do leave an unwanted calling card.

Spaunton is a hamlet in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England.

The name Spaunton derives from Old Norse and means a farmstead or settlement which had shingle roofs.

Spaunton is still the setting for a Court Leet. The court meets annually in October an decides on matters of encroachment onto the common land in the village and hands down fines to offenders

Everywhere in the small village around Monet's home were flower lined lanes. Everyone was into making this area a tribute to Monet and his gardens. The whole village is a garden.

This view of the trees is located on Ings Lane between Lastingham and Low Askew in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park

The field on the right visible through the hedge has just been planted as a woodland complete with seats (I suspect a private wood)

Young lovers walking down the lane in the forest,the late winter sunshine casting it's shadows across the muddy dirt track, with tyre tracks clearly visible on the road.

Dirty Lane, Borough Yards, London.

This is a new development that creates a lane through a series of railway arches built in the 1860’s to extend the railway over the Thames to Cannon St Station. The spaces between the arches have been filled with retail shops.

Took a late night walk and caught what I believe is the best angle of this bridge. Hope you like it as well :)

Earlier in januari, we had plenty of days with fog. Ideal circumstances to go into the forest. This is one of my favorite lanes in the Amsterdam forest.
