The red sand and sandstone walls always reminds me of Mars.
This was taken along the Potash Rd on the back way into Canyonlands National Park and the Schafer Trail

*** The Shelduck seemed to be singularly unimpressed by the noisy and boisterous landing on this trio of swans . I took this shot in 2018 at the RSPB reserve at Blacktoft Sands in East Yorkshire .
THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH.
ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED

While visiting San Diego recently, I had an opportunity to stop by one of my favorite locations for views of the San Diego Skyline, Coronado. Had a great meal while waiting for the sun to go down, then set up the camera for a shot of the night sky.
If you get a chance to visit San Diego and Coronado, don’t forget to stop by the Hotel Del Coronado, its an amazing place with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. And, Ladies, if you are lucky you can sip an umbrella cocktail and watch those Buff Navy Seals perform "BUDS" training on the beach : )
Coronado is a California resort city on a peninsula in San Diego Bay. It’s known for the grand Victorian Hotel del Coronado, which opened in 1888. Across from the hotel, the wide, flat Coronado Beach draws surfers and sunbathers. The Coronado Ferry Landing has shops, restaurants and a small beach. Nearby, Centennial Park offers San Diego skyline views.

A lucky shot without a tripod and it was already getting dark. I tried the first time ISO 3200 for such a scene.

Even when the weather is cloudy and sometime rainy, the view of Robertson’s Curve and Brule Lake can still be arresting. Late in the day of August 9, 2016, an eastbound Canadian National stack train heads around the curve departing Swan Landing, Alberta, led by C40-8M “cowl” No. 2444 and IC SD70 No. 1037.
I really appreciate your kindness and visit in my gallery 💕 to read your lovely comments or receive your faves is a great pleasure for me but please no awards...

Explore Dec 7/ 07 Mute Swans, landing, early morning light. They actually run across the water as they land which differs from most that ski across the water until they stop. Larger is better www.pbase.com/woody/image/89992210/original.jpg IMG_2186
