Rolling farmland, mid-September, Lanarkshire, UK. I stopped in a lay-by to take the photo, and can't remember exactly where I was! Somewhere between Carnwath and Abington is all I can say!

Have photographed these trees regularly over the past few years every time I somehow see a different view.

I am standing on top of a recently capped landfill site which was built over the remains of a disused coal mine which, in turn, was sunk in the site of a former hospital of infectious diseases. A bit of history here. Glasgow is on the right horizon with Ben Lomond beyond.

River Clyde and the West Coast line

These few acres seem to have remained a wooded and boggy place while, for one hundred and fifty years, railways, iron works, housing estates and roads have come and gone around them.

Went down to New Lanark and the Falls Of Clyde today, after the weather forecast promised sunshine. As you can see I was quite disappointed!

Beautiful morning light falling on the Leadhills of South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Deepest South Lanarkshire again.. Literally standing with the tree from a few shots ago behind me.. Stunning display breathtaking actually with Zero cloud cover facing north.. Every time i go out for it there is cloud light pollution etc etc.. Not tonight :-)
