2020 Lamborghini Adventador SVJ Coupe
With wild-looking bodywork and dramatic performance, the 2020 Lamborghini Aventador is spectacular in every sense of the word. It's also the last of a dying breed, with hybrid technology expected to enhance future iterations of the V-12 supercar. Still, this wedge-shaped, scissor-doored Lambo blasts into the sunset with neck-snapping acceleration and a maniacal exhaust note.
The 2020 Aventador powertrain hierarchy begins with a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 that develops 730 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque that is transmitted to the wheels via a seven-speed automated-manual transmission. This basic setup is shared among the three distinct variants, but the track-focused SVJ (which stands for Superveloce Jota) has various enhancements that unlock extra horsepower and torque that meet the pavement through all four wheels. We drove this brutally powerful monster—along with its roofless counterpart—and experienced their tremendous acceleration and kidney-crushing cornering forces firsthand. The hefty machines heaved through the corners, but their incredible grip and rear-steering system helped it change direction.

I was amazed
Oh how it turned their heads
I mastered the game
Oh how they raised their hands
Like Lamborghini doors
We, we're going up
We, we're going up
We, we're going up
Oh so high
Like Lamborghini doors
I seen this years ago
Picasso on the wall
Like Lamborghini doors
Paintings on the wall, you never know the cost
You banging on the boss, the boy'll be a corpse
I'm stepping through the door, my back against the wall
My pockets fat enough to catch a nigga if I fall
Love to see a pretty bitch rolling a wood leaf
Phone ringing, smiling like I got some gold teeth
I caught a bird, jet smarter on the Maltese
You out of style with your wedding vows
I still be making rounds like I'm Kevin Liles
Time to set a date for trial, we never settle out
Them Lamborghini doors, you see me stepping out
Superb design (2006), more beautiful than new models. I don't think all electronics of today have done well in the world of cars.

For Father's Day my daughters took me to the Italian Cultural Center in Vancouver. Each year they have a celebration of Italian made cars that offers many, the opportunity to be up close and comfortable with Ferrari, Lamborghini and more. There were many gems present and I photographed most, but this is the crowning jewel. A 1985 Lamborghini Countach in mint condition.
It was first introduced in 1974 and produced until 1990. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, it followed the 1970 Lancia Stratos that would pioneer the wedge shape for cars.

Alex ♠ suggested that I took a picture 'showing the Miura's horns', like in this one. So, here it is.
This was developed by Lamborghini for military use in the Saudi Desert in the early 80's, long before SUV's were a fad. It has the powerful V-12 engine from the Lamborghini Countach and a luxurious interior. This thing kick's a Hummer's ass in so many ways. It quite possibly has the worlds Worst fuel economy, is a handful to navigate, and an alarming smell of gas reportedly fills the interior when you drive it. It's the most ridiculous thing ever created. I'd have it no other way. Pure Lamborghini. :)
