Lakeside Park in Kingsville, Ontario, one of my favourite destinations, is situated on the north shore of Lake Erie. Mill creek runs through the park and eventually empties into the lake.

In troubling times, sometimes we need to just sit down and reflect on the beauty around us. This bench, looking out over Lake Erie at daybreak, was a perfect spot to do just that.
It is my wish and prayer that we all can find moments like this and reflect on the beauty around us. Be well my friends!

I found a book of delightful haiku among secondhand books for sale in a local village hall. I decided to have a try myself.

n.b. I have discovered that these are Greylag geese but I'll leave Canada in my very first haiku otherwise the syllables will be messed up!!!
This lake is the Back Lake (or Back Lagoon) in Merimbula and behind the top beach. Some nice bushland adjacent the town. The lake not flowing into the sea for quite some time but I expect it will after the torrential rain yesterday.
After a several month drought, we finally got some rain this weekend and it added some much needed color to the landscape. I got out to one of my favorite haunts and saw the beginnings of our Fall.

I walked around a lake and along the river for several hours on Sunday morning because the weather was lovely and the autumn colours looked amazing. When I arrvied at the lake, it was still quite foggy but the fog soon lifted and the morning sun illuminated the scenery. In that very moment I was so happy that I'm an early riser. :)
