Lakeside Park in Kingsville, Ontario, one of my favourite destinations, is situated on the north shore of Lake Erie. Mill creek runs through the park and eventually empties into the lake.

The background to this lake is part of the Great Dividing Range which extends all the way down the East Coast through three States, they are 300 million year old Volcanos.

In troubling times, sometimes we need to just sit down and reflect on the beauty around us. This bench, looking out over Lake Erie at daybreak, was a perfect spot to do just that.
It is my wish and prayer that we all can find moments like this and reflect on the beauty around us. Be well my friends!

I found a book of delightful haiku among secondhand books for sale in a local village hall. I decided to have a try myself.

A deserted beach on Lake Erie was a lovely spot to be at on this October evening. The trees were just beginning to change colour and were accented by the golden glow from the falling sun.

This lake is the Back Lake (or Back Lagoon) in Merimbula and behind the top beach. Some nice bushland adjacent the town. The lake not flowing into the sea for quite some time but I expect it will after the torrential rain yesterday.

Early Autumn atound the Hücker Moor, Ostwestfalen, Germany.
Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons. Ostwestfalen, Germany
The Aabach-Talsperre in the Sauerland is a very lonely reservoir located in the middle of nowhere. Bad Wünnenberg, NRW, Germany
On the lake shore at Wallagoot Lake. This lake currently flows into the adjacent Tasman Sea due to and exceptionally wet year. Sometimes it is closed to the ocean for fairly long periods. It is mainly fresh water but when connected to the ocean is affected by incoming tidal sea water.
