Sam Bahadur Review by movie lovers by Pankaj Sharma

Reviewed by Anoop Kumar

Anoop Kumar attended the world premiere of Meghna Gulzar's "SAMबहादुर," a biopic on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The star-studded event featured prominent figures like Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and director Meghana Gulzar herself.

The film, spanning 40 years of Manekshaw's illustrious career, navigates through key episodes without delving too deep. Kumar commends the well-researched, fast-paced script by Meghana, Shantanu Srivastava, and Bhavani Iyer.

Vicky Kaushal shines in portraying Sam Manekshaw, capturing his unique persona flawlessly. However, the review critiques Fatima Sana Sheikh's lackluster portrayal of Indira Gandhi and finds Neeraj Kabi's depiction of Pt Nehru wanting.

Despite some shortcomings in supporting roles, the film is hailed as an honest and earnest attempt at showcasing the life of an extraordinary army chief, earning praise for its authenticity.
