The Krk Cathedral
or fully Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a cathedral in the town of Krk on the northern Adriatic island of Krk, Croatia.
It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Krk.
The church was built in the 5th or 6th century but archeological evidence suggests that the site was used by Christians as early as 4th century.

Sunset colors along the lake
Long exposure
As I live along the wester shore of Lake Michigan traditional sunset images aren't possible when looking out over the lake. This view is almost directly to the east. What I like to capture is the colors in the the clouds catch as the sun sets. Winter sunsets can be quote beautiful with the lower sun angle able to light the undersides of the clouds. I had thought I had waited too long to get my camera out but I was very fortuate to capture some beautiful colors. Whille only a 10 second exposure it was long enough to still the water so that the sky color would be picked up by the water as well.
