In his presidential address, he emphasized the importance of exhibiting talents in various cultural events. He also stressed that it can develop the students’ physical and mental stamina. It will give happiness and refreshment to the students and boost them to get more marks in academics. Required things worth (Rs.75.000/-) seventy five thousand were donated to the girl children of HIV affected parents residing at ABHAYA STUDENTS SHAELTER at Kalappanaickenpalayam village, near Kanuvai in Coimbatore District.

insisted the young minds to take part in the nation’s improvement by contributing their talent in all possible ways. He insisted the students to follow personal ethics and decorum to rise as a best citizen. In addition, he stressed that commitment is the only key to success. He motivated the budding minds to serve India as a civilian.

Crd JOHN EDISON Senior Manager, Learning & Development, Cognizant Technologies, in his Special Guest address, stressed that students should not worry about the criticism. They must hold it in a positive way by correcting it for future and should be open to such criticisms. He also accentuated that the objective of cultural event is not winning but participating with much energy.

Dr. J. RAJENDRAN, Chairman, JRD Promoters, Builders, Developers and Realtors, Coimbatore, in his Guest of Honour address, revealed that these types of cultural events help the participants to grow in different dimensions. He expressed that cultural programs make students to exhibit their team work, innovation and to acquire other managerial skills.

Nehru Education Group, a renowned educational institution in TamilNadu and Kerala, has been providing educational services for over 54 years. As a part of this, a new state of art theatre with advanced facilities named Nehru Cinema has been inaugurated today in the Nehru College of Arts and Science campus located in Tirumalaiyampalayam, Coimbatore by the Department of Visual Communication. In this event Honourable Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Dr. L. Murugan attended as the special invitee and inaugurated the theatre by lighting the lamp. Famous film actor and silver jubilee hero actor Shri. Mohan as the Chief Guest and Famous Film Director Shri. Vijay Sri G as the Guest of Honour. Chairman and Managing Trustee Advocate Dr. P. Krishnadas presided over the function, CEO & Secretary Dr. P. Krishna Kumar felicitated the event.

The theatre is fully air-conditioned with 200 seats, Dolby Atmos sound system and screen with 4K and 8K technology. A film will be released once a week for students staying in hostels at the Nehru Education Group and short films by college students and youth filmmakers will be screened here. And once a year the best short film will be selected and will be awarded. Also the film will be released on special arrangement with corporates if required. Also, the preview of movies for special screenings will be screened for special guests, and preview shows can also be screened here. Also a studio with all facilities has been createď.

Two hundred and five students of NIET were awarded with degrees of ANNA University, Chennai. In which undergraduate programme was one hundred and eighty five and postgraduate programme was twenty. The convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession which was headed by the Principal followed by the other dignitaries. The College 10th annual report was read by Dr. P. Maniarasan, Principal, NIET followed by this was the Address of the Chief Guest, Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Nehru Group of Institutions presided over the function. Dr. B. Selvaraj – Dean Research – felicitated the students with exemplary performance.

Dr. V. Dillibabu, Director, National Design and Research Forum , a scientist with DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt of India graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the 10th Graduation Ceremony. The Chief Guest in his address stated that “ The need of the hour today in India is for citizens who will use their knowledge and learning to better their society. The Chief Guest further congratulated the Graduates and their parents. This is your day and there is every reason to have an enormous amount of satisfaction at your success. The Chief Guest there up on gave the degree to each student. After the distribution of degrees the oath taking of the degree recipients was done. Finally the Graduation Ceremony was dissolved, continued with this was the playing of National Anthem. The Academic Procession moved back in the reverse order and the degree awardees followed at the back of the procession. The ceremony was ended with a ray of hope and joy.

The Ms Muscle Mania was conducted for the first time for Women. In men category Mr. Muscle Mania 2018 title won by Mr.Pradeep from Tirupur & in women’s category Ms. Muscle Mania 2018 Title won by Ms.Jaya from Chennai.

Around 180 men including 2 women participated in the competitions. Men - below 23 years were divided into three junior categories namely 60, 70 and 80 kgs and those above 23 years in the senior category competed in above 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 80+ kgs. Women contested in a single category ranging from 40 kg. This apart, a competition for men with good physique and body was also conducted.

In the final round of the competitions held in the evening and prize award function Mr A Muralidharan, Director (PR) of Nehru Group of Institutions & State Vice President of Tamilnadu Weight Lifters’ Association and S Jagannathan, General Secretary of Tamilnadu Fitness Association welcomed the gathering.

Crd JOHN EDISON Senior Manager, Learning & Development, Cognizant Technologies, in his Special Guest address, stressed that students should not worry about the criticism. They must hold it in a positive way by correcting it for future and should be open to such criticisms. He also accentuated that the objective of cultural event is not winning but participating with much energy.

Dr. J. RAJENDRAN, Chairman, JRD Promoters, Builders, Developers and Realtors, Coimbatore, in his Guest of Honour address, revealed that these types of cultural events help the participants to grow in different dimensions. The Nehru Group of Institutions in association with Tamilnadu Fitness Association jointly conducted the 3rd Time ‘Mr. & Ms. Muscle Mania 2018’ at Nehru College of Aeronautical and Applied Sciences on the Coimbatore Palakkad Main Road here on Sunday. The Ms Muscle Mania was conducted for the first time for Women. In men category Mr. Muscle Mania 2018 title won by Mr.Pradeep from Tirupur & in women’s category Ms. Muscle Mania 2018 Title won by Ms.Jaya from Chennai.

Around 180 men including 2 women participated in the competitions. Men - below 23 years were divided into three junior categories namely 60, 70 and 80 kgs and those above 23 years in the senior category competed in above 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 80+ kgs. Women contested in a single category ranging from 40 kg. This apart, a competition for men with good physique and body was also conducted.

In the final round of the competitions held in the evening and prize award function Mr A Muralidharan, Director (PR) of Nehru Group of Institutions & State Vice President of Tamilnadu Weight Lifters’ Association and S Jagannathan, General Secretary of Tamilnadu Fitness Association welcomed the gathering.

The chief guest, Prof (Dr.) K. K. Aggarwal, chairman, National Board of Accreditation, Government of India, said the need of the hour was citizens who will use their knowledge and learning to better their society. He asked students to think individually and become an entrepreneur to create job opportunity for others. He said the first job and the job one holds when retiring may be totally different. "Today you may be in maintenance job, and tomorrow you may shift to marketing job, selling automobiles. These changes, which will come in your lives will be far greater than your earlier generation would have seen. Therefore, you will have to make sure that you will be able to take every change in its stride," he told students.

The Nehru Group of Institutions in association with Tamilnadu Fitness Association jointly conducted the 3rd Time ‘Mr. & Ms. Muscle Mania 2018’ at Nehru College of Aeronautical and Applied Sciences on the Coimbatore Palakkad Main Road here on Sunday. The Ms Muscle Mania was conducted for the first time for Women. In men category Mr. Muscle Mania 2018 title won by Mr.Pradeep from Tirupur & in women’s category Ms. Muscle Mania 2018 Title won by Ms.Jaya from Chennai.

Around 180 men including 2 women participated in the competitions. Men - below 23 years were divided into three junior categories namely 60, 70 and 80 kgs and those above 23 years in the senior category competed in above 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 80+ kgs. Women contested in a single category ranging from 40 kg. This apart, a competition for men with good physique and body was also conducted.

In the final round of the competitions held in the evening and prize award function Mr A Muralidharan, Director (PR) of Nehru Group of Institutions & State Vice President of Tamilnadu Weight Lifters’ Association and S Jagannathan, General Secretary of Tamilnadu Fitness Association welcomed the gathering.

Western Zone IG of Police Mr. K. Periaiah, the special guest, gave away the prizes to the winners. Mr S S Manian, President, World Fitness Federation was the guest of honour. Adv. Dr P Krishnadas, Managing Trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions, presided over the function.

Mr Mohammed Nivas, President of Tamilnadu Fitness Association, Dr N Bhaskaran, President, Tamilnadu Weight Lifters’ Association and Mr S Nagavel, Sr. Vice President offered felicitations. Mr R Dhanasekaran, Treasurer of Tamilnadu Fitness Association, proposed the vote of thanks.
