Seen from our short ferry ride across Auckland's Waitemata Harbour, "Kota Lembah" was built in 2013 and sails under the Singapore flag. At the time of writing, the ship has already sailed south to Lyttleton (The port for Christchurch in NZ's South Island) and is currently sailing at 18.5 knots (Just over 21 miles per hour or 33 kilometres per hour) for the port of Napier (on the North Island's east coast), after which it will head for Singapore.
New Zealand's borders might still be "closed", but ships like this bring a huge assortment of commodities into the country - albeit under very strict conditions! And judging by the number of "Boxes" on this vessel, it will have been warmly welcomed by Retailers throughout New Zealand...!
Thanks for visiting, and thanks for taking the time and trouble to leave a Comment. It's always nice to hear from you...!
