I have been working this image for 3 years, never quite getting the look I wanted, which was a sort of Old Masters light. It's as I envisioned now, using mostly Luminar and Aurora, many many layers, some from different years of those products. Mixing and laying light in areas, melding colors to balance complementary and subtle. Getting an atmosphere painterly, yet photographic. I am totally aware that this is not for everyone. I'll go realistic when the subject tells me to. Here I wanted Renaissance, or as close as I could.

Into the Light - Day 2 - Year 2022

------------------------------------------------

A muselet (French: [myz.le]) is a wire cage that fits over the cork of a bottle of champagne, sparkling wine or beer to prevent the cork from emerging under the pressure of the carbonated contents. It derives its name from the French museler, to muzzle.

The muselet often has a metal cap incorporated in the design which may show the drink maker's emblem. They are normally covered by a metal foil envelope. Muselets are also known as wirehoods or Champagne wires.

The cork discs on the bottom of a sparkling wine cork are more elastic than the cork granules which make up the rest of the cork, so they absorb the CO2 and expand much more than the granule part, hence the mushroom shape.

Champagne corks cause around 24 deaths per year.

Korbel Brut is America's favorite Méthode Champenoise champagne. It is used to celebrate more weddings, anniversaries, and New Year's Eves than any other quality champagne.

On our way to hospital for a biopsy for me, it was extremely foggy, and then the sun jumped out, as we drove past Korbel’s Champagne Cellars at 7:40a.m.

While we waited for the line of cars to get going again, it was a perfect photo op...so I took it.

Trying a little commercial practice. Inspiration was a crafted libation on a craftsman's workbench. I welcome CC.

Korbel Champagne Cellars, Guerneville, California

These vineyards are very close to where we live, and I often pass them when driving out of town.

#keepitfull Working on a shot for the gram. Idea—mid swim champagne toast under a duet of whistling osprey. Inner tube for counter balance, swim the bottle out to top off & get the glow up on the froth. Kingfisher, bald eagle, black phoebe. A symphony of bird song on the Russian in surround sound. Cheers to six years, Caroline!

We bought a bag and were not fans. Literally tasted like tomato soup popcorn.
