Der Klöntalersee ist ein durch einen Bergsturz entstandener Natursee im Klöntal im Kanton Glarus in der Schweiz. Er liegt auf einer Höhe von 848 m ü. M. und hat eine Fläche von etwa 3.3 km².
Der Klöntalersee liegt in einem tief eingeschnittenen Seitental des Linthtals oberhalb von Glarus. Südlich des Sees erhebt sich der Glärnisch (2'904 m ü. M.), im Norden der Dejenstock (2'012 m ü. M.).
Der Hauptzufluss ist die Klön, auf Glarnerdeutsch Chlü genannt. Am See befinden sich die Zeltplätze Güntlenau und Vorauen des Zeltklubs Genossenschaft Glarnerland (ZKG). Der Abfluss ist der Löntsch, der bei Netstal in die Linth mündet und dem von der Axpo betriebenen Kraftwerk den Namen gibt: Kraftwerk am Löntsch.
Nördlich im nächsten Tal liegt der Obersee, welcher ebenfalls natürlich gestaut wurde, dessen Wasser jedoch unterirdisch abfliesst.

Clone me gently! Two beauties from the Bile plateau above Mostar. On this plateau there are several hundred horses that live freely in nature. They defend themselves against wolves and snakes, they look for their own food, they determine their own "natality". They are also helped by good people, kudos to them, who occasionally bring them salt, and in the summer when the puddles dry up, these same good people make sure that those puddles are filled with water. It is a pleasure to come, to be next to them and to watch them graze on the sharp rocks with a view of our magnificent Čabulja mountain. ***

Klon mich sanft! Zwei Schönheiten vom Bile-Plateau oberhalb von Mostar. Auf diesem Plateau gibt es mehrere hundert Pferde, die frei in der Natur leben. Sie wehren sich gegen Wölfe und Schlangen, sie suchen ihre eigene Nahrung, sie bestimmen ihre eigene „Geburtsrate“. Sie werden auch von guten Leuten unterstützt, ein großes Lob an sie, die ihnen gelegentlich Salz bringen, und im Sommer, wenn die Pfützen austrocknen, sorgen dieselben guten Leute dafür, dass diese Pfützen mit Wasser gefüllt sind. Es ist ein Vergnügen, zu ihnen zu kommen, neben ihnen zu sein und sie beim Grasen auf den scharfen Felsen mit Blick auf unseren herrlichen Berg Čabulja zu beobachten. ***
Kloniraj me nježno! Dva ljepotana s visoravni Bile iznad Mostara. Na ovoj visoravni nalazi se par stotina konja koji slobodno žive u prirodi. Sami se brane od vukova i zmija, sami si traže hranu, sami određuju svoj "natalitet". Pomoć im pružaju i dobri ljudi, svaka im čast, koji im povremeno donesu soli, a ljeti kada presuše lokve, ti isti dobri ljudi se pobrinu da im se te lokve napune vodom. Užitak je doći, biti pored njih i gledati ih kako pasu škrtu ispašu na oštrom kamenjaru s pogledom na našu velebnu Čabulju planinu.

De aan het begin van de jaren zeventig gebouwde DB 624-klonen van Slovenske železnice rijden hun laatste meters. De paar treinstellen die nog in dienst zijn, worden het slachtoffer van de komst van nieuwe Stadler-treinen. Eind september 2022 waren nog drie van de tien treinstellen actief.
De 711-007/711 008 reed op 23 september 2022 als LP 4456 van Ruše naar Maribor; volgens dienstregeling zou de trein moeten doorgaan naar Spielfeld-Straß, maar voor het laatste deel van de reis werd een elektrische Desiro ingezet. Op de foto keert het treinstel leeg terug naar Maribor-Tabor.

Na jarenlang aan de kant te hebben gestaan, is een aantal locomotieven serie 2600/2620 door Comboios de Portugal recent opnieuw in dienst genomen. Ze zijn vooral aan te treffen rond Porto. De meeste treinen op de Minho-lijn worden door de 1830-klonen getrokken. Op 21 november 2021 is 2605 in Porto São Bento aan te treffen met IR 853 naar Valença.

Klon palmowy (Acer palmatum) to gatunek rośliny drzewiastej pochodzący z Japonii, Korei i Chin. Wyselekcjonowano wiele odmian tego klonu, które są powszechnie uprawiane w ogrodach i parkach, także i w innych częściach świata ze względu na atrakcyjne kształty oraz kolory liści. Jest to również popularny i często wybierany przez miłośników bonsai, stosowany od zarania dziejów tej sztuki.

Aleja Jerzego Waszyngtona w Krakowie
W 1932 roku, w związku z 200 rocznicą urodzin pierwszego prezydenta Stanów Zjednoczonych, postanowiono podzielić ul. św. Bronisławy. Zachodnią jej część, od osiedla Salwator do Kopca Kościuszki, nazwano Aleją Jerzego Waszyngtona.
Aleja ma długość ok. 1,1 km, prowadzi grzbietem wzgórza, pozbawiona jest zabudowy. Obsadzona jest drzewami, są to głównie: klon zwyczajny (8 jest pomnikami przyrody), jesion wyniosły (12 jest pomnikami przyrody), kasztanowiec biały (9 jest pomnikami przyrody), lipa drobnolistna (2 są pomnikami przyrody).

Arrived in the Uk but may not be able to stay long with you as a small ear surgery possible tomorrow. It is a local anesthetic so should not be too bad.. Might not be able to get online for a few days again.. In the meantime just some bright leaves taken in Poland a week ago. Must be cheering myself up with the bright colours ;-)
