This Kiwi(rail) DL (9227) locomotive isn't nearly as cute as the flightless New Zealand bird alluded to in the title, but this one definitely was flying. The only way to get a reasonable perspective for the shot was to precariously balance tripod and photographer on the rim of a (full and manky) circular farm water trough!
