Over ten years ago, I drove by this block of houses at Hillside and Orme in Wichita, Kansas that were going to be torn down the next day in order to build a large Quik Trip convenience store and parking lot. I had to stop and explore.

Taken in the house that used to be at the SW corner home at Hillside and Orme. One of several photos of the kitty wallpaper in the kitchen. I had never seen this kind of wallpaper and the design needed to be saved.
This Halloween cat candle holder was created using high fire stoneware ceramics and colored with various types of glazes. I melted the Soy wax and slowly poured into the hand crafted cat vessel and finally applied the BlueBerry Muffin scent to the melted wax before it hardened.
This will lighten up any room, hallway, patio or bathroom with this very whimsical, kitty. Once this has consumed all of the wax, you can use the container as a succulent or cacti holder or to store any precious items.

I was inspired on Purrs n Charm by the beauty in cats as that of natural objects such as flowers and branches, so I incorporated those natural aspects in the mosaics of her fur. Because of the wacky state cats are in when they spot a bird, I added the small bird sculpture to the tail. I recreated the comical expression I see in cats faces when they see these silly creatures.
As with all my creations, this is a handmade, signed, one-of-a-kind leash holder that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, mosaics pieces are individually hand-cut, meticulously arranged, and the glazes are applied with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.

"Callie" the Calico Cat Sculpture was inspired by a stray cat that showed up at my door after his ' family' was forced to abandon their house during the beginning of our countries housing crises. I started feeding this darling cat and she became one of my many "adopted" outside kitties during these hard times. This was how I remember first seeing her looking at me, excited, hungry and just plain adorable. Even the stray animals that show up at my house have a place in my heart. I just can't take care of them all. This beauty was my outdoor watch cat for three years before she disappeared. I just have to hope she warmed the heart of another family who took her in.
As with all my creations, Caille is a handmade, signed, one-of-a-kind sculpture that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, as well as hand glazed with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.
