Found this guy, a neighborhood stray, hanging high up in a tree in my backyard. It took him a while to get up the nerve to work his way down, but eventually he was able to position himself so he could shimmy down the trunk tail-first, then jump to the ground from a safe height. Poor kitty was scared and exhausted by the time he got down.

Interesting that they wrestle nearly like humans, catching the other by the neck and try to throw him down and the one laying on the back is trying to get the above away with feet and arms ...

Our 12 year old calico cat, laying down and just watching her human family go about their everyday activities.
LOL....didn't see an artists name on this one. We weren't sure if we wanted to shoot this with that tree in the way, but decided to anyway. It even looks like the bottom half is actually part of the mural. Had fun looping around the neighborhood again too to get it, haha! I thought it was funny that with the rocket in the mural that the fire hydrant in front of said out of service!

Sunday, July 9th I found this stray kitty, about 4 weeks old. His mom and sibling had moved and left him alone. His eyes were all caked with conjunctivitis and he couldn't see a thing. He was scared and hungry. He wouldn't have survived 12 hours in this horrible heat without food and water. My heart skipped a beat and I took him home.... to my adult cats dismay! LOL
I've been cleaning his eyes every few hours and feeding him and he started playing less than 24 hours later. Now I'm still working on his eyes but he is doing so much better and jumping all over my studio playing and being a happy kitty. I named him William from the name of the road he was born and found in.
Misty and the others are still keeping their distance... observing his movements. He gets all spiky and hunched over like a Halloween cat when they get too close. They must look like two lions and a black panther to him! Needless to say, all my work is delayed! haha I'm having so much fun playing with this wee thing. I hadn't had a kitten around the house in many years (8) and I recommend it to anyone who needs a little spark in their life! :-D
