This remarkable polearm is one of Ancient construction- composed of a peculiar alloy known as ghosteel.

An unlikely toa, Targa assumed this form during his misguided venture into the volcanic region of Ta-Akota. Driven to the verge of death by the searing heat and vicious ta-rahi, a traveling swordsman came to Targa’s aid. Indebted to the stranger, he vowed to lend his blade to those in need as his newfound master had for him. Unbeknownst to Targa, he would eventually find himself in service to a young onu-matoran, and he would never leave her side.
Reclusive witch of the Pallid Coast, Kiora carries on the research of her late adoptive father, Donovan the Arcanist, who sought to understand the peculiar Paletide and the transient apparitions from which manifest. Kiora, carried into this world on the silver waters, did not fade with the setting of the full Moon like the specters which came before.
With the rise of the Nightmare plague, the Paletide now stirs in unsettling motions, the blood-red Moon casting sinister shadows within the waves. Perturbed by this omen, Kiora’s gaze turned to the city of Somnum from which the Nightmare was born.
