This year autumn wasn't without the sun. Not much of atmosphere there, but spirit was not gone. It was superb walk through the golden kingdom...
La « March of the Penguins », une oeuvre installée derrière le chevet de la St Mary's Church, Nerthergate, Dundee, Écosse.
Ce bronze a été créé par l’artiste écossaise Angela Hunter (née en 1951) spécialisée dans l’art figuratif, sculptant à la fois des figures humaines et des études animales. Son médium préféré est le bronze.
Ses séries de pingouins 'Penguinicity' et 'Penguinicity II' ont eu un important succès et sont très populaires partout où elles sont exposées. Une série spéciale de pingouins a été commandée par le conseil municipal de Dundee et comprend cinq bronzes marchant installés le long d'un Penguinicity "March of the Penguins"! / Pinguinicité "La marche des pingouins"!mur derrière la plus vieille église paroissiale au centre-ville.
Ces pingouins sont devenus l'une des œuvres d'art public les plus populaires de Dundee - ils sont habillés à différents moments de l'année et ont même leur propre page Facebook non officielle.
Avec son clocher médiéval, St Mary's Church est le plus vieux bâtiment de Dundee, vestige d'une église paroissiale des 14e et 15e siècles.
