Mad little shot from Streetfest the other week, me and TRANS1 had to stop painting while they done the skate competition right in front of us. Skillz....

During our short stay in London past June, Neil Smith was our courteous guide around the city. While at South Bank, I asked if he had anything in mind for a photo. "Yeah, I've got this one thing", he replied. This massive hubba at the upper level of South Bank was not what I expected. Neil hucked and stuck it like a champ despite the sandpaper landing. Cheers mate!

From Masa's interview in Hang Up #3-4 2006. He'd never done a kickflip wallride before and we just happened to be at this spot on the end of an unproductive day. One of those unplanned gravy shots that we all love so much. I really like how the photo came out, but I'll admit it's pretty much a Deeli rip-off. We all have our influences, and he's influnced a lot of Finnish skate photogs.
For the lighting, I had two Sunpak 120J's quite far away on the right, both on 1/2 power and as high as I could get them. On the left, I had a Nikon SB-28 right next to the wall to reveal some texture on the wall without creating a second shadow. Triggered with Pocket Wizards. Hasselblad 2000FC w/ 150/4, exposure 1/250 at f/5.6 on Portra 400NC.
