So Gloom just came out with a new skin and Vin, being a blogger for Gloom, did a super awesome picture with it (www.flickr.com/photos/darkestraveness/50728304017). We both fell in love with how much he rocked it along with his new Lelutka Lilly head! So he decided he wanted to keep wearing it.

Still mopping up on the Basin, Tuesday's run to Connell featured a pair of 9's, the leader resplendent in their snazzy nose logo and a really nice noisemaker on the roof. From there a run over to Moon Road for another grab then on to this kickass little Taco Stand in Connell for lunch. I approve. Frischknecht, WA.

Amlbing past a seemingly abandoned elevator on the outskirts of Bruce, WA, the CBRW's Connell Turn is close to their namesake and interchange with the waiting BNSF. I was honestly pretty disappointed with this line, the power is kickass but man this was about the only photo prop I could find! Still though, with SD9's and the like still going strong, i'll be back.
Day Time Long Exposure!
I was using a Hoya ND400 filter, which has 9 stop.

without any trouble of finding a place to park.

2 perfectly ripe* avocados, mashed but not too much
1 tomato, seeds removed, chopped
1 large or 2 small tomatillos**, chopped
1/2 small onion, minced
1/2 bunch of cilantro*** (leaves & stems) minced
salt, pepper, cumin to taste
mix it up, let it sit a few minutes to let the flavors come together, devour.
*To select a perfectly ripe avocado, try to wiggle the stem button at the top--if it moves, but doesn't come out (like a loose tooth), you're good to go. If it won't budge, you'll need to wait a few days; if the button falls right out, it's probably overripe.
**If you're not familiar with tomatillos, which I wasn't before I moved to Tejas, they're those things in the picture up there in the papery husks. When you take the husks off, they look like little green tomatoes--hence the name--but they taste tart, almost lemony but not quite. They're a crucial secret ingredient in the guacamole, if you ask me--they brighten it up and keep it from being too heavy.
***If you are one of those unfortunates to whom cilantro tastes like soap, you can leave it out, I guess, but really, you might as well not even bother making guac in the first place.

This one was fun, but I didn't really have time to think about what i wanted to shoot, since I stumbled onto this big demonstration outside the U.N. conference in Montreal, with CK's film lock and loaded. I like the cold/warm contrasts it gives, because the cold I sure did feel that day, and some splashy sun is just what is needed.

Well the way u can create this type of bokeh is by
doing a cardboard or dark paper cut out, shape like a
circle that equals the size of ur lens..and in the
middle of the circle cut out, you can make any type of shape
u like to turn into bokeh...
