Ft. Zachary Taylor is a national Landmark. It sits at the Western end of Key West and it is a prime spot to watch the sunset. If you are in Key West, you should go visit Fort Zach.

Key West Sunset at the Southernmost Point

From my archives. Taken in 2004 with my first digital camera Sony Cybershot.

Dublin, Ireland. Keywest.

In Key West within an easy walk from Mallory Park where the cruse ships dock and in front of the Tourist Bureau stands a statue of the famous kiss that ended WWII. We stumbled upon this the night before in the dark and not knowing it was there it was a little startling in the dark I can tell you.

I removed a trove of tourists from this and ran a sharpening filter in PhotoShop to enhance the image - especially the sky.

The so-called "Audubon House"*, taken by Ron. *Audubon was on the Island, briefly, but that was well before this house was built.

"Walk away if you want to.

Its ok, if you need to.

Well, you can run, but you can never hide

From the shadow thats creepin up beside you.

And, theres a magic runnin through your soul,

But you cant have it all.

(whatever you do)

Well, Ill be two steps behind you

(wherever you go)

And Ill be there to remind you

That it only takes a minute of your precious time

To turn around and Ill be two steps behind.”.

Perhaps the most famous grave marker in Key West Cemetery. This is in the mausoleum shown in photo 0075. Taken by Ron.
