Part of letting go of my collection of Magic cards is acknowledging the pleasure they've brought me. That's been primarily through the great artwork and creative text and secondarily through planning decks and only lastly the actual playing of the game.

It's fantastic and wonderful that so many artists have been supported by this unlikely success.

What I like about these cards:

Bottomless Pit - don't like the illustration that much, though it's a tough challenge to draw, but the flavor text is great "I'm sure it came with the place. I don't think you build one on purpose."

Cloud Sprite - cool little fantasy creature

Darting Merfolk - excellent creature image and fun text: "You might as well try to catch water with a net."
