Today is Dave’s fathers 100th Birthday. We went down yesterday and set up the table etc. for a party today.
I always love a trip to the old Gun powder works at Kenal Vale at this time of the year, the Autumn colours were amazing and the river was in full flood after all the rains in Cornwall.The light was good and not too contrasty which was a bonus, I used my Lee polariser to reduce the glare and cut through any reflections and make the colours pop a little.

The light that morning was beautiful, almost casting the lighthouse into a silhouette
One of my fave places in Cornwall particularly in Autumn, Kennal vale the old gun powder works The Kenal river runs down through a tangle of rocks and old Leets here.

This gorgeous girl will only be with me for a short time. She came to me recently, and has been given a lot of care while she's been here, but she's going to a new home soon. Just after winning this girl (spur of the moment decision) I got the opportunity to buy a chunky banged redhead, a girl I was really wanting. So this little beauty gets to travel a bit more.... would her new mum like to own up? ;)
I was lucky enough to adopt this lovely lady. My first KB and I couldn't be happier!
Last night I tested out a (much needed) de-frizzing method which worked like a charm! Less crusty, more silky :p

Kenners may be old but they're tough. These babies have survived tomato patches, extended periods of time in cedar closets (whatever that means) and various restorations.
That said they are quite fragile. Robin's legs are held on using knickers and tights as they fly off at inopportune moments. She also can't stand up without help (note my sneaky fingers)
