I have not done anything special to take this shot, I just got lucky that I witnessed the most beautiful movement "

Last summer, I rolled out the door with everything I would need for the next two months: a bicycle, some supplies, and some smarts. This was my view from the cockpit on that journey.
On the road, I regularly checked in via Instagram and the aforementioned #pedalpoweredtothewest hashtag, but I've only just now published a photoessay to my blog at www.davidquiring.com of part one of this journey: Solo in the Canadian Rockies. This will be a three part series (the following two coming in the next week or so). Check it out - it's pretty meaty with 59 images (!) that tell the visual story, and I've included plenty of interesting context from life on the road in the captions too. Hit the website linked in my profile and it's the post at the top. I hope you enjoy it! 👍
Part 2 will take be to the distant archipelago of the Haida Gwaii, and part 3 will be a journey along the coast south along the edges of the Salish Sea.
