Al Kazim towers and Dudai Internet City district under moonlight (taken from Jumeirah Palm East Crescent). A bit of light pollution due to misty atmosphere (high dew point in winter is quite typical for Dubai). 2 exposures manual blending.

Second Last Crusade vignette... 12+ hours late. -_-
Having just escaped the flaming tombs located underneath the library in Venice, Indiana Jones and Elsa Schneider make their way to find Henry Jones, Sr. while being chased by Kazim and his fellow Grail Guardians.
I was somewhat hesitant to build this scene... it differs greatly from the actual scene in the movie, but hopefully it should appear to be kind of recognizable.
Special thanks to the Harry Potter builders for inspiring me.
Minus Crystal Skull, cause I couldn't give a toss about it.
Anyways, just all the reconstructed official, and some custom, Indiana Jones minifigures. Some of these have been edited since I last posted them, and some of them were altered still afterwards. I've got a number of minor characters on the way as well, and I'm looking forward to getting them finished.
I'm not gonna name everybody, or list their parts. Mostly cause the majority of these are official.
Lemme know what you think, and what Indiana Jones related minifigs you would have like to see during the themes' run.

If any of the Indy movies got snubbed for sets, Last Crusade was definitely the top. Sure you could argue that it had more than Doom, (Crusade at 3, Doom at 2) but the expansive selection of Temple of Doom figs we got just in those two sets outweighs the difference to me, as there was very little, if any fig variation in the Crusade sets.In fact, the Plane chase and the motorcycle chase sets had almost identical figs. Which is just a damn shame.
Anyways, Colonel Vogel: Russian Colonel head, Eclipsegrafx torso(?)
I tried my absolute damnedest to find Elsa's actual head and hair but I could not for the life of me locate either one. The search continues.
Donovan is a Bruce Wayne fig with Gordon hair.
Sallah: PoP head, Studios torso.
The Jones's are the Jones's.
Marcus Brody: He got lost in his own museum. Bilbo head, ironically, the Indiana Jones torso from The Venice Escape set.
The Grail Knight: Ben Kenobi head, 2007 Castle torso.
Kazim is Kazim with Aladdin's hair/fez.
Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword member: Thug head, reversed CMF Dino Hunter torso, Jones legs.
I found all the actual heads for the German Soliders. Hoorah.
Sadly a number of these figs are either temporary, or had to be changed later.

La abstracción geométrica es una forma de arte abstracto creada en los años 1920, basada en el uso de formas geométricas simples combinadas en composiciones subjetivas sobre espacios irreales. Surge como una reacción frente al excesivo subjetivismo de los artistas plásticos de épocas anteriores en un intento de distanciarse de lo puramente emocional. El discurso crítico de estos artistas se complementa con una exaltación exacerbada de las dos dimensiones frente al esfuerzo de la mayoría de los movimientos anteriores para tratar de representar una realidad tridimensional.

Fue Wassily Kandinsky su principal precursor y el más influyente de los maestros en toda una generación de artistas abstractos. Kasimir Malévich y Piet Mondrian también se encuentran entre sus impulsores y en ambos se puede apreciar también la influencia de antiguas culturas que utilizaron la geometría como expresión artística y decorativa. Es el caso de las cerámicas y mosaicos que se conservan del arte islámico, obligado por el precepto religioso de evitar la representación de la figura humana. También las culturas clásicas de la antigua Grecia y la Roma imperial, en las que se utilizaron con profusión elementos decorativos sin referentes reconocibles en la realidad.
El expresionismo abstracto, del que son representantes creadores como Jackson Pollock, Franz Kline, Clyfford Still, y Wols, representa exactamente lo contrario de la abstracción geométrica.

Accoppiata sovietica: Lomo Voskhod caricata con pellicola Tasma 200, esposta a 25iso. Primo test positivo, soprattutto se considero che la pellicola sembra messa al rovescio! 😂 (con l'emulsione verso il dorso della macchina e non verso l'obiettivo). Ancora non ho capito se l'errore è mio o di chi mi ha venduto qualche metro di bobina. Di sicuro è difficile distinguere recto e verso, anche perché da entrambi i lati la pellicola è dello stesso colore, un bel giallo.

The interior of Bibi-Heybat Mosque. It is one of the most important mosques in Azerbaijan and is located six kilometers southwest of Baku. The existing building was built in the 1990s and is a recreation of the mosque with the same name built in the 13th century by Shirvanshah Farrukhzad II Ibn Ahsitan II, and which was destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1936. Fatima al-Sughra (also known as Bibi-Heybat), the daughter of Imam al-Kazim is buried in this mosque.

Ok, I have to come clean - I photoshopped Kazim's head; here's the original. I went with this head over others for the flesh color; there were other possible heads, of course, but I like this one.
