Didn't think he'd make it to his birthday. The polyps in the nose are still inflamed. I have to wipe his nose a lot. Still on prednisone and an antibiotic every few weeks. He doesn't eat much, but he still seems to enjoy life. Still following me like a dog and still playing now and then.

This week's theme of the Happy Caturday group is "Keeping warm" and it's a theme that pretty much sums up what Tofu does at this time of year. He only goes outside for five minutes at a time and then he returns either to the radiator or to one of his warm blankets. I can't blame him as I don't like the cold weather either. Happy Caturday !
I apologize for my absence lately, due to my work and family issues I had no time for Flickr and not even for taking photos. Hopefully things are beginning to calm down now and will be more present on Flickr again.

Als ich am See eine Schwanenfamilie fotografieren wollte merkte ich, dass ich selber beobachtet werde. Die kleine Schönheit guckt mich an als wollte Sie sagen, hey fotografiere mich, ich bin auch ein interessantes Motiv. Wie Recht sie doch hatte......
Update 12.10.: according to the shelter's homepage Minnie aka Soledad has already found a new familiy. I'm so happy for the sweet little girl :-)))

Pretty cuddly cat looking for loving home.
On Sunday we found this 4-5 month old very emaciated kitten in front of our house, where she was looking for our help. First she got to eat and drink. Later on she went to my neighbour's flat where she proved to be quite trusting and cuddly.
With a heavy heart we brought her to the shelter, where it now waits for a loving home. They baptized her there on Soledad (the lonely) - I had called her Minnie immediately :-)
Keeping was not an option: my neighbour unfortunately has a totally jealous dog and I am very sure that my tomcat Timmy would also be very jealous if he had to share my love :-(
Besides, we already have a very high cat density here.
This beauty comes occasionally to our terrace. At first I thought she was hungry - but no, she wants to be petted. Her MEOW sounds so sweet and melodious - she MUST be a woman :-) In comparison Timmy sounds more like a pubescent half strong :-)))
Yesterday she inspected the whole living room. I closed the living room door so Timmy wouldn't come in. I'm not quite sure if Timmy already knows how a gentlecat behaves towards a lady, even if the lady is in his living room unannounced. ;-)
