As part of the STROKAR exhibition held at the former Vanderborght premises in May 2017, in collaboration with the City of Brussels, the artist Kashink was invited to create a fresco on Espace S, a community centre at 4 Rue de la Comtesse de Flandre, in Laeken. This approximately 110 m² fresco portrays a series of smiling figures. The residents of the district had the pleasure of seeing the artist at work while he was creating the mural.

Depuis 2008, la ville de Sète accueille le festival K-Live, un concept original, pluridisciplinaire, un festival qui crée un pont entre arts urbains, arts plastiques et concerts de musiques actuelles.
Chaque année, un ou plusieurs artistes sont invités à prendre possession de murs de la ville qui devient ainsi au fur et à mesure un véritable musée à ciel ouvert (MACO).
En 2014, Julien « Seth » Malland, Monsieur Qui, Kashink, Bault et Goddog sont les invités.
Seth nous propose ici un personnage qui ôte son chapeau pour dévoiler dans sa tête un poulpe entouré d’une garniture coloré. Une façon amusante de nous faire découvrir l’une des spécialités culinaires de la ville, la Teille.
La Teille est une tourte ronde à base de pâte à pain. Elle est garnie de poulpes coupés plus ou moins finement, mélangés avec une sauce tomate pimentée. Ce plat a été importé à Sète par les migrants italiens à la fin du XIXème siècle.

Wandering the streets of East Vancouver.
Two silos at the Red Truck Brewery on East 1st Avenue were offered as a panel for this KASHINK (Aka Maëva Martinez) mural for the 2016 Vancouver Mural Festival.
Could not find out if the work had a specific name other than KASHINK, so I chose a name off the right tower images.
KASHINK is a female artist involved in Paris’ graffiti and street art scene. An experienced world traveler, KASHINK’s work is inspired by the social interactions and cultural experiences she has while abroad.
Questioning aesthetic codes of gender and ethnicity in her pieces, she calls her work “funtivism” (fun activism).
As part of the Vancouver festival, KASHINK painted one of her two murals on the silos at Red Truck Brewery.
Known for her moustache, huge four-eyed characters, and paintings of hairy men, Kashink is a celebrity in Paris, both for her talent and her persona.
KASHINK started sporting her moustache when she went out partying, and then for openings and live performances. It's been her signature staple since 2013.
The name “Kashink” comes from an onomatopoeic word she remembers reading in a comic book when she was a teenager. “I can’t remember if it illustrated someone pulling a sword or crashing a window but I loved how it sounded. It became my tag name later on,” she says.
One of the few active female artists in the French graffiti/street-art scene, Kashink’s work has been shown in many galleries from France to the UK.

yesterday i've made a wall in paris with kashink, jeanmichel ouvry, and klub 7 (from berlin). Here is the part i've done with Chris from klub 7. Good times spent there ! He made the black line i made the stuff with flat color.
