The Kaiserpanorama (or Kaiser-Panorama) is a form of stereoscopic entertainment medium used chiefly in the 19th and early 20th centuries, a precursor to film, invented by August Fuhrmann (1844 – 1925). It was patented by the inventor ca. 1890. There would be a number of viewing stations through which people would peer through a pair of lenses showing a number of rotating stereoscopic glass slides. By 1910 he is said to have controlled exhibitions in over 250 branches across Europe, and in the central archive have up to 100,000 slides stored.

Das Welser Kaiser-Panorama gehört zu den wenigen weltweit noch original erhaltenen stereoskopischen Rundpanoramen. Die Reisen, unternommen durch die Okulare dieses Guckkastens, faszinieren den Betrachter nun schon seit mehr als 120 Jahren. Kolorierte Stereofotografien auf Glas, die einen dreidimensionalen Seheindruck erzeugen, führen das Publikum in nahe und ferne Weltgegenden und transportierten früher auch aktuelle Informationen des öffentlichen Geschehens. Das Besondere ist, dass gleichzeitig 25 Personen um den Apparat sitzen konnten, wobei 50 Ansichten in automatischer Abfolge vor die Okulare gelangen.

Although this glass stereoview is not colored, it has the same size and structure as a typical "Kaiser Panorama" slide. That means a glass positive combined with an opaque glass plate, which usually bears the coloring.

Het Kaiserpanorama (ook Kaiserpanorama) is een massamedium dat populair was aan het begin van de 20e eeuw, waardoor maximaal 25 mensen tegelijkertijd stereoscopische fotoseries door een kijkgaatje konden bekijken.
Er werden vooral exotische bestemmingen en landschappen getoond die voor de gemiddelde burger onbetaalbaar waren. De reeks beelden, die automatisch in een cirkel achter cilindrische houten lambrisering werden getransporteerd, duurde een half uur om te circuleren.

This machine consists of a large wooden room, around which chairs are arranged. Each viewer places his eyes on a pair of holes,,,,,,and then the magic begins!
One looks into a true window of the past: Three dimensionall images of the 1890s-1910s period,,,People and places who are frozen inside this box,,and you are an intruder spying on the inhibitors of this immortal world. If they happen to have looked into the camera, when the photo was taken, you will feel they are staring right to you,,,,
Those people, whose world disappeared long long ago, still live inside this magical machine!
The practical principle of the Kaiser Panorama is old and simple and the scientific name is stereoscope.
Why do I put this in Egyptian royal family? because I was told that small models of stereoscopes existed in Egypt in the 1940s as children toys,,,the photos subject was king Farouk, and the theme was usually : king Farouk hunting.
Did anyone hear about such toys? If any of these survived, it would be impressive to see our dear late king in 3 dimensions. .
