It has been one week today since our trip to Chicago where our car window was smashed in and my purse stolen after being in town for only 30 minutes and in broad daylight we were forced to come back home right away. After dropping off our car at home we jumped into my car and drove to downtown Grand Rapids to take photos and drown our sorrows........and this is one of this is one of the photos.
View of Rowland Road gently winding to the Dawson Bridge, finishing with the new Ice District towers.
It's always a crap shoot when cloud appears to obscure the horizon, but one can never tell until moon rise. Taken from 156th Street and the Yellowhead, the location was a bit dodgy but found a decent opening to work with.
Full moon diving behind Edmonton Tower and JW Marriott Tower shortly it achieved full status (0637 hrs) and during sunrise.
