I'm really fond of the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. In my humble opinion, he made some of the nicest designs lately. Okay, all his projects are exorbitant expensive. But when I got aware that he finished the train station in the small town of Mons, I needed to see it for myself.
And I liked it! I hope you do too....

Oh, but folks lately I have been spotted
With a Big Mac on my breath
Stumbling into a Colonel Sanders
With a face as white as death

**A wide, vibrant landscape scene dominated by a clear, deep blue sky filled with bright, towering ** cumulus clouds . The clouds frame the center of the image, drawing the eye down to the flat, lush horizon of green trees and open fields below. The scene captures the classic, expansive beauty of a sunny day over the countryside.
There was a small island on the place of sunken lighthouse. Starting and ending line were near it.
This island was also used for gatherings before races and for chatting after them.

Tickle me. I don't know.
But I do know that these boys are not so crazy about some Michael Owen or
some David Beckham. I DO know that that there is no fanfare of spectators...
Nor is this any carpet grassed Million Dollar stadium, nor is anybody wearing
any crude designer jerseys.
Why, then? You may ask, is this game any more special than the other.
The answer lies in the mind.
It is a powerful, mind intoxicating game that requires total commitment from
the brain and the body.
The brain pumps hormones to fire-up vital organs such as the
heart, lungs and kidneys which team-up with the physical body to become one
powerful machine capable of cutting through rays of light.
It is the right game for the right situation.
The only game perhaps, these boys can count on, for some enthusiasm,
in a life of misery.

Both are games. Both are real.

FACT: Nine months on after the deadly tsunami in Asia, little is being done
to help ease the inconveniences of the deprived. Entire island communities
have been relocated and housed in cardboard sheds, (background in the pic.)
with few or no Amenities.
Sad.

This location actually close to the centre of town. As I was taking this photo a young lad walked behind me and said "You want to be careful. There's junkies in that shed. They'll come out and get you".
"Speed Junkies" was a sailing group with the purpose to sail as fast as possible in the same environment.
Group has 25 cruises which were further modified by direction of wind.
As a reminder of these times I have started to sail one cruise after another.
If I remember it right, ladies were finishing whole race in about 40 mins with the difference of a few seconds amongst them.
My yesterday's try resulted in 52 mins, but I hadnt done any preparation and I havent been using racers much recently.
Last night I met up with Pam When we met..it was pouring down rain & things did NOT look good. I told her I would show her where the canola & clover fields where & a few other of my "good" spots so that if she wanted to come back she could! Well..Look what happened? WOWZERS! I love all my Brazilian contacts..but I just may stay in Oregon now...lol! The sky literally changed from Ho-hum..not that exciting to this!! What a sight! Yes.. the clover fields again but all I see is the sky. :-)
I know I usually do B&W today..but when I have THIS..I HAVE to post..lol...

Single Long Exposure
Genesee & Wyoming Australia 1067mm gauge locos 1601/1603/859/851 seen between Ceduna and the nearby port of Thevenard with another load of gypsum from the mine at Kevin, train 2DD4, on 25 February 2019.
This isolated 60km long 1067mm gauge line continues to operate, but as at mid-2022 was struggling to maintain enough operating locos for the service. The two EMD-powered 1600 class locos leading were originally built in 1971 for the Commonwealth Railways, while the trailing Alcos date from 1962.

There were nearly fifty monkeys near the garbage bins picking out all the cans. They would subsequently, tear the can in half by biting threw the tin and dip their fingers into the cola syrup. It was amazing to watch.

I was walking out of the bungalow the other morning carrying my wifes camera along with mine. I decided to snap off a few shots of some flowers on the way to breakfast.
Just so happens that the bungalow was being kept at a comfortable 20C, but outside was a humid 30C. The lens fogged up so fast, I couldn't keep it clean long enough to take a shot, so I just shot with it the way it was. I actually don't think I could have got a better feel from this shot if I had tried.
Absolutely no editing other than to crop the top bit.
