March has been a busy month in the valley with the snow, ice and frost delaying planting that would have normaly started in February. The Lake District National Park runswork partys throughout the year and during March 7 people from as far away as Brampton spent a foggy day planting Juniper and birch above Bowness Knott - many thanks. Very pleased to find a good 'colony' of these! Was at an Antiques fair at Oswestry showground and spotted some huge Lawson's cypress, so just had to have a look! Had a job actually as the lowest branches were only just within reach! Lol!
