For Macro Mondays - Ring.
A miniature ring from my wife's charm bracelet, commemorating the Junior-Senior Prom of 1965. The background is a detail from the cover of her high school year book.
Speedlight with reflector bowl and grid, feathered lighting, left. Black bounce card, right. Small white reflector card, below left.
The ring charm is 0.5 inches in diameter.

I am assuming this male Mandarin Duck is a youngster. He hasn`t yet developed all the finery of the adult, cute though!
The Junior Livestock Building was constructed in 1937 as one of the Great Depression-era federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) projects on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. In 1997, the building was renamed in honor of Orion Samuelson, a retired radio broadcaster who was heard on WGN radio in Chicago for sixty years as the station's head agriculture broadcaster from 1960 through 2020.
This view looking toward the south shows the huge livestock barn. The livestock barn has two levels with 1,100 cattle ties in the lower level and 765 pens in the upper level. Inside are two shows rings of 7,200 and 5,400 square feet.
Bald Eagle hunt this day found only Junior, who did pose quite nicely for us even though he looks like he is giving us the evil eye. Happy Wing Wednesday!
May I introduce: the new member of the falconry of the wildlife park Eekholt: an eight week old eagle owl orphan who is raised by hand now.
Aren't these eyes amazing? I fell in love immediately. 😁

Junior was hiding from his parents. After watching the swans for a few minutes another juvenile swan came out & the family went for a swim.

Ok, not really sure how or why I came up with this. It may be because a friend at work's wife is due very soon, it may be because I am slightly disturbed.
It's not really that good either. Certainly no Demi Moore Vanity Fair cover.
(very) Loosely inspired by the Arnie movie "Junior"
Thankyou and goodnight....
I believe this is a Hummingbird juvenile (due to the white pinfeathers). He stays clear when Mom and Dad are courting! I think I only have 3 hummingbirds...although, they go so fast, it's possible there are 4! LOL And who knows, with all this flirting and carrying on, there may be more by the end of the season! LOL I could easily spend the day (and tons of SD card space) watching these guys! However, I've had the Grandbaby pretty much all weekend, night and day, and let me tell you this.... Almost 3 year olds have as much energy as these little Hummers, if not more!!! Phew!! Strong storms moved through the area yesterday afternoon and evening with Tornado watches and I wondered if they would remain safe and they did! Where they go when the winds are blowing at gale force?
