JJ wasnt having any pictures taken this day. This is how he protested. Made for a cute pose as frusterating as it was.
Some of you will remeber that JJ is a climber, but this was a funny sight at the hockey rink not long ago. His sister was on the ice in the First Shift program, and I spotted him in this position after earler finding him up in another precarious spot.
He wouldn't normally be safe behind the netting like this but the kids on the rink could barely push the puck nevermind lift it high with force, so he was okay. Silly, but okay.

Yesterday, I showed a re-edited snapshot of Danica back in August 2011. Today, it is Jonathan's turn. But this one didn't require much re-editing. I think I cropped it a little bit and brightened the eyes.
My favorite dog.. but don't tell him. I used the 10-20mm on JJ here and then added 10 textures to blend the background and to make JJ match.

NHL training camps are starting up and so is local hockey. This was JJ's first game 3 years ago. I've always liked this photo but never got around to posting it, but the beginning of another season seems to me like the right time. I like the triangular shape with JJ at the apex, a white sweater against the reds.

Following Danica; here is a Back to School portrait of Jonathan. Next year, like Danica, he will be forced into a school uniform.

JJ Travel of Coatbridge Plaxton Derwent bodied Leyland Tiger F336RWK is seen leaving their depot to begin an afternoon school contract, 2nd September
JJ (short for Jack Jack). He is my 4 year old blue merle Australian Shepherd. He loves absolutely nothing more than to run and catch one of his many tennis balls. Actually, he is obsessed with them.
It was the end of a long play day and here he just brought me his tennis ball hoping I would give it one more toss before we called it quits for the day. OK, I'm a sucker for a sweet face...he got a couple more tosses...

I use my 70-200 lens to photograph JJ's hockey games and sometimes have to do some zooming in and out as the play changes.
Often I am too slow, especially when the play comes close to the glass where I am standing, and if they are too near, the camera can't focus at all.
This time I got the shot, and not just of any player but of Jonathan. I managed to get the focus pretty well for a nearby action photo, and I also like the out-of-focus players in the background.
