Canada's newest airline making its way down 17L heading back to Toronto as "Jetbus (CJL) 121" this afternoon. A huge congratulations to everyone at Canada Jetlines on their launch today! Thanks to the crew as well for the wonderful flight into Calgary from YYZ. I was genuinely impressed with how the in-flight experience is on Jetlines, and look forward to flying them again!

Arriving on a ferry flight this afternoon from Toronto as "Jetbus (CJL) 9348". It parked on the East parking pads and seems to be overnighting. We had this one come in the other day on a charter from Mexico City, but I missed it then.

Departing for Toronto as "Jetbus (CJL) 8880." Interestingly this time they parked at the terminal instead of an FBO.

"Jetbus (CJL) 137" on departure this afternoon for Toronto on the inaugural day of YVR operations for the airline. An ill-timed card error meant all the arrival shots didn't save, so this will have to do. This happens to also be the only daytime flight (for now) as all the others seem to arrive at 2330 and depart at 0100.

Arriving from Toronto on a charter this afternoon as "Jetbus (CJL) 8550." This is their 3rd A320, delivered just two weeks ago, and previously operated by Alaska and Virgin America.

A lovely afternoon spent in the company of the legend that is Mr Ted Larkin atop the Tower at YYZ.

We both caught this immaculate looking Jetlines A320 on its taxi in to gate after operating a Flair flight from Winnipeg.

Yesterday I showed a teaser. I wanted to get this posted ASAP, as it has been sitting on 98% completion for far too long.

A vehicle that has been on my mind for a while is the Volkner Mobil Performance. Top Gear viewers might recognize this one, it's a combination between some Mercedes commercial vehicles to create the ultimate RV. Special feature: you can park your supercar underneath it. If I ever have millions to spend, a VM Performance is high on the list.

I wanted it to resemble a Mercedes Adi Putro OC500RF Jetbus, but that is a bus for the Asian market, whereas I wanted this to be a bit European. Since I couldn't care that much about the European Mercedes buses, I dreamt something up, to then brag with the Mercedes name. It's only stupid if it doesn't work!

The bus design is very straight forward. Simple reason: I'm not a bus designer.

Enough about bus designing: why a bus? Well, the Volkner is also based on a Mercedes bus. Buses are big, they show that big things can actually fit on the road, etc.

So this is what happens when you convert a sizable bus into an RV. The European camping sites might not be ideal, where it actually is ideal, I don't actually know. America, maybe?

The McLaren colorscheme was of course chosen because it matches the McLaren yacht. And yes, it does fit a McLaren inside. Scroll through the pictures to find out more.
