Brooklyn Public Library has an exhibit honoring the career of Jay-Z called "The Book of HOV". It's visually stunning and so well done. The library has also issued 13 different limited edition library cards and yes I did get the one that was available on my visit.
I have and use library cards from all three of the Public Library systems in New York

JayZ tribute--at Central Library, Brooklyn
a lot of reflection going on there, even my hand holding the phone taking the photo--but I feel I'm now a part of the exhibition--in this photo anyway, :-)
I found this line online, and you can find the original line here, sold as a poster. It’s a play on a Jay-Z lyric from the song “99 Problems”.

CZAW SportCruiser G-JAYZ suffered substantially damaged on 14th. October 2023 in a runway excursion after landing at Forwood Farm Airfield, Treswell, Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Correspondence-only investigation, and the following is the summary from the AAIB Report:
'On returning to the airfield, after there had been a heavy rainfall, there was a lot of water on the grass surface. The pilot reported that he taxied too fast at the end of the runway after landing, and the wheels locked when he applied the brakes. The aircraft continued to move forward and slid down an embankment into a hedge where one of the composite propeller blades and the left wing were badly damaged.'
"I move onward, the only direction--can't be scared to fail, searchin' for perfection..." ~Jay-Z, Blueprint III
For this one I did something different, using an illustration I drew and scanning and enhancing on photoshop etc.
The KDU recently collaborated with Translation Marketing and the Strategic Group to execute visuals for the 2 Kings event during NBA All Stars in New Orleans. During this project we put together a true KDU Global Dream Team. Si Scott from London, Peter Jaworowski from Poland, Justin Maller from Australia, Matt Andrews, Philippe Richardson / Laundry from Los Angeles, along with the KDU NYC core team worked together to create the work. Even the team from Proof 7 NYC jumped in to handle printing. Special thanks to everyone that helped make this go as smooth.

Jay Z - D.O.A. (Death of Auto-tune)
For me, this video and rap and what it stands for means everything about hip-hop. Jigga is the fucking man. There is no doubting it. With this track he is basically calling out all these motherfuckers who have cultivated the same old tired ass sound over the last few years...
"i know we're facin' a recession, but the music y'all makin' is gonna make it the great depression, uh, all your lack of aggression, pull your skirt back down and grow a set men"
...the auto-tune sound, yeah, you know it, the sound where they all sound like Peter Frampton on the vocoder shit...
"you rappers singin' too much, get back to rap, you T-Pain'n too much"
...which is the best line of them all, tellin' all of them to quit bitin' the style that T-Pain made a hit and get their own fuckin' shit.
Yeah, I like this album. And guess what...it's not out until tomorrow and I've been listening to it since a few days ago...yeah. I said it.
In other news, i just read that Apple updated their Ipod shuffles to include...guess? an FM radio???
WTF? They said people had been "begging" for it for years now. WTF? You people have all this fucking music available to you to download and buy, let alone many download illegally, yet you still want to listen to the motherfucking radio???
Wack.
I'm out.
