Wikipedia: The Javan pond heron (Ardeola speciosa) is a wading bird of the heron family, found in shallow fresh and salt-water wetlands in Southeast Asia. Its diet comprises insects, fish, and crabs.

The Javan pond heron is typically 45 cm long with white wings, a yellow bill with a black tip, yellow eyes and legs. Its overall color is orange, slaty and white during mating season, and brown and flecked with white out of the mating season. The non-breeding plumage is similar to that of the Chinese and Indian pond herons and is virtually indistinguishable in the field.

The Javan Pond Heron, Ardeola Speciosa, is a wading bird of the heron family, found in shallow fresh and salt water wetlands in Southeast Asia. In the wild, they eat insects, drabs and fish; in the Zoo, they are fed a scientifically developed, commercially available bird of prey diet, capelin and insects. I saw this bird when I was walking around the Zoo grounds.

An uncommon leucistic Javan Myna was sighted in our neighbourhood

The day before, we had tried to photograph this pitta, when torrential rain hit Batu and flooded our location in a split second, making it impossible to reach the shelter where we were supposed to see the pitta. On our last day in Java, we went to a second spot, and had to undertake one of the most difficult trails I've ever done. We had to walk along the bed of a small river and jump over rocks and ponds. At this point, our attention was drawn to a partridge, which made us briefly forget about the pitta, which then disappeared and never returned.

The white rhinoceros or square-lipped rhinoceros is the largest extant species of rhinoceros. It has a wide mouth used for grazing and is the most social of all rhino species. The southern white rhinoceros has an estimated population of 19,682–21,077 wild-living animals in the year 2015. Currently the population of the Southern white Rhino is 15,572.

Members of the rhinoceros family are some of the largest remaining megafauna, with all species able to reach or exceed one ton in weight. They have a herbivorous diet, small brains (400–600 g) for mammals of their size, one or two horns, and a thick (1.5–5 cm) protective skin formed from layers of collagen positioned in a lattice structure.

They generally eat leafy material, although their ability to ferment food in their hindgut allows them to subsist on more fibrous plant matter when necessary. Unlike other perissodactyls, the two African species of rhinoceros lack teeth at the front of their mouths, relying instead on their lips to pluck food.

Rhinoceros are killed by some humans for their horns, which are bought and sold on the black market, and used by some cultures for ornaments or traditional medicine. By weight, rhino horns cost as much as gold on the black market.

Both African species and the Sumatran rhinoceros have two horns, while the Indian and Javan rhinoceros have a single horn.

The IUCN Red List identifies the Black, Javan, and Sumatran rhinoceros as critically endangered. – Wikipedia

This species is a resident breeding bird in SouthEast Asia. It is a popular cage bird, and has been introduced in a large number of other countries, all over the world.

204) Javan Myna

Javan Myna, Acridotheres javanicus, Myna Jawa

This species can be found in large numbers almost everywhere in Southeast Asia. Like other Mynas it is omnivorous, roosts in colonies and is abundantly successful in a variety of habitats. They are as accomplished in cities as they are in countrysides. It eats ants, worms, fruits, human feeds leftovers, insects and grains. This one is a rare albino of that species
