This is an early pic of my East Java series. This is the pic resulted from my tour of the rural part of East Java, Indonesia, precisely in the small district of Paiton, some 200 kms from Surabaya. Came across this farm hand and l believe, that l managed to captured the hard life that he was in.
l knew that the motorbike was wrongly compose inside the frame and cropping won't do much help, nevertheless, if l will be asked to select Top 3 among my pictures, this is one of it.

Ceiba pentandra is a tropical tree of the order Malvales and the family Malvaceae (previously separated in the family Bombacaceae), native to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, northern South America, and (as the variety C. pentandra var. guineensis) to tropical west Africa. Kapok is the most used common name for the tree and may also refer to the cotton obtained from its seed pods. The tree is also known as the Java cotton, Java kapok, Silk cotton or ceiba.
