All of the snow makes spotting birds and squirrels even easier. But I suspect it would make hunting them harder. I don't know, I'm not a cat.

Check out how her pupil is a tiny slit.

Jane dumped her toy basket out onto the floor. This brought out a lot of rolling around, crazy, biting, and hiding behind toys for play.

Here she's stalking a toy I was using to get her to pose.

life inside a tulip. I'm currently waiting to hear how my brother's hip operation went this afternoon. I phoned him this morning and he said he was terrified. Friends kindly took him to the hospital and we shall visit him tomorrow and Friday, combining it with a trip to the cottage - so I shall be away for a short while . . . back soon . . .

Jane runs one of the old market stalls in Moncur Street at the Barras. Her stall sells everything from books and clothes, hoovers and TVs, bikes, antiques and even fruit and vegetables.

catching up, hope to finish this evening. Tomorrow our neighbours are coming here for an evening meal . . . in our new extra cosy conditions (the living room is being decorated) so will be back on Sunday . . .

Jane watches the last of the birds as the spring sun is about to set.

Winchelsea was such an opportunity for taking photos that I had to forgo my usual beach activity: collecting stones. A long shot, I thought, I asked Peter if he would collect some for me and here they are - some of them. He said he enjoyed collecting them .. .

on Sunday I walked along the New River with my camera . . . I shall miss this part of the New River when we move. Today the surveyor for the new buyer came and surveyed and drank tea, then coffee and chatted. One step nearer . . .

My new artwork is opening Saturday December 8th, 2018. It is a narrative mixed with a game. A maze with monsters to run through with friends. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Immersiva/16/103/22

Some of Jane's toys are for chasing, while others are for biting and kicking. This is obviously one for biting.

And sometimes when you bite your toys, you need to make a crazy face.

Captured with the Nikkor-Q version of the 135mm prime which is a touch softer than the coated "Q C" flavor, but still a decent lens. My copy of the lens has a Butterfly Chip added to the lens, adding immediate EXIF input and body-controllable ƒ-stops, is a nice addition to its usefulness.

Jane is in love with the warmer spring weather we are experiencing and the back porch, with all of the glass windows, is the best place to be if you are a cat.

more than anything I like to capture Elsie secretly amused. So often she appears solemn or contemplative (and nowadays sometimes displeased at being photographed) and so to catch her amused which she so often is, is a pleasure . . .

we played school and decorated the chocolate cake she had made . . .

I got a new-to-me barn for my backyard railroad and immediately Jane set about to inspecting it for mice.

jane wears a hoodie from chloeiscrazy, jeans from etsy's minni64 and barbie mjs

and, to all those who offered help on getting the smokey smell to go away, i wrapped her in dryer sheets for about a day and that helped a lot! the funny thing is that everyone in my house is allergic to stuff like dryer sheets. we use a fragrance free hypoallergenic detergent on our clothes. so, we were all itchy just from having the stuff in the house... !!!! after a day, i had to get rid of it!

Peter is the figure walking in the centre of the picture - thank you for driving us safely to Cirencester, to Gloucester and back to London all in one day . . . a trip of about 250 miles.

Gloucester docks is one of my favourite places for photographs and after a rather hectic day it was lovely to spend three quarters of an hour wandering around playing with my new powershot before meeting Caroline and John for a meal.

And late afternoon autumn light is so wonderfully soft . . .
